  2. The new NZ WorkRide scheme works via a pre-tax deduction re salary sacrifice. Xero Support confirmed that right now there’s no functionality in Xero Payroll to process a pre-tax deduction. We have been advised that we need to manually adjust the tax in the draft pay run to reduce the PAYE withheld. Please enable your customers to comply with the NZ WorkRide scheme without the need for manual PAYE adjustments, by creating the ability to process pre-tax deductions.

    Hi team, just wanting to make sure we understand the idea correctly here. When you'd like a payment voucher - would this be for accounts payable or receivable?

    On the payables side, perhaps purchases orders could facilitate the record of this in Xero, and you can upload attachments to keep track of files related to a voucher. Alternatively, for accounts receivable, quotes maybe able to support what you're in need of here.

  4. List prepayments separately from "Awaiting payment" report in Dashboard.
    At the moment, prepayments are lumped together with "Awaiting payment" reports in Dashboard. This gives a wrong view of the actual number of invoices that are awaiting payment. Please list prepayments separately on a different line.

  5. Dont automatically open a new tab when clicking the contact link in the new invoice or give option to turn this off.
    There is Alt+click shortcut on all browsers to do this already.
    Making this auto open as default leads to too many unnecessary tabs and attributing to a more messy workflow

    Thanks for your detailed feedback, everyone. We do find that customers have differing expectations of how clicking a link should behave.

    With the current behaviour, opening the contact in a separate tab means that users don't lose any information they may have entered in the invoice.

    We don't have any plans for changing this in the near term but it'll be good for us to continue to get a sense of the interest around this from our community here. If there are any changes that may impact this we'll share an update with you all here.

  6. It would be great if we could add a "files" column to account transactions to view attached files without the need to drill into each separate transaction. This feature is already available in VAT returns.

  7. Currently, Xero facilitates bank feeds with Investec (South Africa) although does not allow bank feeds to be setup for the UK & Channel island branch - This connection needs to be setup.

  8. It would be massively helpful to be able to preview the PDF invoice instead of having to click on and download it each time. If you could preview it alongside where you are inputting data on a Purchase invoice that you have sent to Xero by email - then you can check details side by side rather than having to print out the paper versions. Would be much more efficient

  9. In old invoicing, when you used Copy and Merge into a new invoice, it kept each of the original invoice's items together in order, including the first line description. In the new Invoicing, it groups together all of the like items from each invoice which is incorrect. This needs to be addressed.

    Hi Lisa, it'd be good to get a closer look at some of the invoices you've copied and merged from and to, so we can get a better look at what's going on for you here.

    I've just tested creating invoices with Copy and merge from the list view using the same inventory items, however these are created as separate lines on the new draft invoice.

    If you can raise a case with our team of specialists through the Contact Xero Support option at the bottom of this page, they can get more detail to investigate and confirm.

  12. The new modernised GST returns in Xero no longer export the report name in the exported file name. The document only has the client name and date, not the report type anymore. Should say "XXXX Ltd 30 11 2024 GST Return", whereas it currently only says XXXX Ltd 30 11 2024". Inefficient to have to manually add the words "GST Return" for each report produced in Blue Xero when sending multiple documents to clients. Is there a way to get it back?   14. With the old Invoice system, the message will correctly prompt the email address for that contact. If I choose instead, to send the message to another contact email first, I simply clear the prompted address and begin to type the intended address and the full address is usually prompted after typing the 1st 3 letters. Is there a way we can make the NEW INVOICES do this? Surely this can be done in the new Invoice Format..???

  15. When looking at the notes of a batch payment, it says "remittance advice emails were sent to 16 suppliers" - but I can't see anywhere that will tell me which 16 suppliers & which email addresses they were sent to. It would be great if I could see that.

  16. When exporting the profit and loss transactions it would be amazing for one of the columns to show the Contact in isolation rather than merging the contact and description into one field. This would allow much easier spreadsheet analysis by contact.

  17. We are all required to keep tax code and other notifications from HMRC for a number of years. Currently we have to do that in hard copy. It would be great to be able to upload a copy to the employee record instead.

  18. New invoicing - option to remove existing columns and adjust their sizing.

    You had this option before the latest release, why did you remove it...
    I dont want to "Due Date" on the top, nor the "reference", nor the "online payment option"

In the "New version of Invoicing" disappeared an amazing function - when you open an invoice after it has been approved, it always displays as tax exclusive, even if you entered it as tax inclusive. In the new version if you approved an invoice tax inclusive it ONLY shows it as tax inclusive. Can you please add the feature of seeing both versions of the same invoice.
    And another feature that disappeared in the new version is to see account number, not just the name of the account. Can you add it back too? And move it back to the…
