History & Notes - Xero Mail - Log of mail sent via Xero
Have a log or register of all emails sent from a Xero organisation with detail of content, recipients, senders, and date of send.
Purpose: Validity when being queried by customers about a transaction, verifying payments and collecting debtor payments. Proof of interaction.

Whilst I do think Xero should be able to provide this service, another option, which we have instigated, is to set up an email address - for us it is: invoiceregister@company.com and we then added it to all contact details as an email address to be included when invoices are sent.

Having access to an email trail of interactions with contacts is a basic level of recording that really should have been implemented from the start. I'm new to Xero, Generally I find it excellent, but in this area it's severely lacking, this needs addressing as soon as possible.

Useful to be able to see for payroll reasons: payslips and pension eligibility email in particular. You press send, and then nothing - would be nice to see that it has been sent so that we don't press send again and perhaps the employee receives multiple emails

This would be super handy and definitely surprised the idea hasn't been implemented yet. Quite often, invoice emails include information that we have had to add as the standard business template doesn't suffice. Thank you for considering and hope it will be part of any upgrades in the near future.

Occasionally you don't always want an invoice copy sent to yourself at the point of sending - for a number of reasons. However it is often important to retrieve a copy of the email sent at a later date. At the.moment it's impossible to do that and it's a feature that would be very useful to have.

Notes & History used in debtors follow-up process.
Need to show more detail for System generated reminders and Invoices Sent
Reminders should be referenced by the reminder type (30 days, 60 days etc) or better have the text of reminder shown.
Invoices Sent - the email template that was used should be reference or show the text of the email in History & Notes. The current details of change are not useful .
Can we get the ability to choose the columns on the History & Notes section? -

Allowing email content to be viewed is important for role coverage. Otherwise, one AR rep cannot see what another AR rep communicated to a client when an invoice was sent. Means poor continuity and damaged customer service.

Log of communications sent to client is crucial else we cannot see what has or hasn't been sent etc.

Dont think we are quite on the same page here! I am talking about something that seems to be a built in feature of Xero.
All Contacts - Search customer - click on customer- List of invoicesAwaiting payment. Scroll down past 'Money in over last 12 mths' until you see a box 'Note by...... to the right 'date of note'.. to a small solid down arrow. Click on it 'View or Copy. click on view to see the note or email and get a program note 'Something is wrong' Error 500
Appreciate it if you can get this function to work please.

I note that when sending Customer Statements, a note is created under the contact. When you click 'View', an error appears. This makes it impossible to view the statement that was sent to your client. If an invoice is changed after statements are sent - it's useful to see EXACTLY what the client saw on their statement - making it easier to reconcile their payments.
I have had a client refer me back to the statement I sent them earlier in the month - but I couldn't view it or recreate it. Not a very professional look. -
