New Invoicing - Add a Print PDF where you can directly print from the invoice (not download)
New Invoicing - I need to print invoices regularly for counter sale customers. Using new invoicing it used to open a new chrome tab when you clicked Print PDF from there you could print or download the invoice easy.
In a recent update (See link https://productideas.xero.com/forums/939198-for-small-businesses/suggestions/47646932-new-invoicing-print-pdf-option) the Print button now only allows you to Download invoices.
Please revert to the old system where printing or downloading took the same number of clicks
or
- Change the current Print PDF button to read "Download PDF"
- Add a new "Print PDF" Button that actually prints the invoice.

Appreciate that some people prefer to download. But many of us use this feature to check that an invoice says what we want it to say (as the preview feature doesn't preview the actual invoice) before we approve and send.
We don't want to have to download the file, open it, then delete it again.
So we need both options please - direct download for those who want that, and view in tab for those who want that. It's a trivial change, the code already exists for both and all you need is a new menu option.

Needs to change. I do not need to waste all of my computer storage having every invoice downloaded to it before i can print when its already saved on xero!!!

Why not have two options:
- print PDF (opens in a new tab)
- download PDFWill satisfy everyone 🤷♂️

This new system is so counter-intuitive and fills up the user's computer with files that are not needed. It may also increase the chance/risk of the incorrect invoice being uploaded or attached to emails or increase the security risk on shared computers.
Please revert to the previous system. Print button opens a print dialogue, Download button downloads to the user's computer!
This shouldn't be rocket science. You might need to give Peter Beck at Rocket Lab a phone call if you can't sort this out.

In Xero it would be a time saver that when you hit print on a batch payment or and invoice that it actually prints instead of creating a PDF first.
