  1. I would greatly appreciate the option to easily print or download only the pages of a tax return that requires the client's signature, without including the entire document. This feature would be particularly valuable for accountants who frequently need just the signature pages from multiple tax returns. Currently, the process of manually extracting these pages using another software is quite time-consuming.

  2. Many our trust clients have investments in managed funds, e.g. Macquarie Wrap, etc. Unlike ITR, currently there is no "Distributions from Managed Funds" worksheet in TRT. This means, we need to enter Capital Gains and Foreign Income in the separate sections from "Distributions from Partnership/Trust" worksheet. It would be great if all components from Managed Funds distributions can be entered into one worksheet.

  3. One should be able to create tax returns for Companies that switched their Financials years to calendar year, to avoid late lodgements. For Example, for the companies whose financial year is 1 Jan,2022 to 31 Dec,2022, need to wait till Jun 2023 to file their tax returns

  4. I have a client who uses different currencies. It would be a great help if we can run the Aged Receivables and Payables Detailed report showing the original currencies and not the converted amount. The report can be grouped to each currency and have a total balance per currency.

  5. When using the report builder in XPM and going into the samples tab - there is a lot of reports and it can be quite overwhelming. Tags for types of reports / ways to search / filter the list would be a great addition for being able to work out the sample report that would be most beneficial to build out for my needs.

  6. When completing a tax return in XPM, have the audit check feature check the IRD number for hyphens so it's in the correct format. If the number is entered with spaces instead of a hyphens, the audit check lets it pass, and throws an error when submitting.

  8. One product idea for people working under multiple practices, would it be possible to have all the Xero tax functions included? Eg, Income tax, BAS, company return etc.

    Similar to adding multiple clients under the practice, this would really help for people working under multiple practices.

  9. When preparing annual financial statements and performance reports for auditors, it is important that the contents page and accountant's disclaimer report come before the statements that the auditor needs to refer to in their audit opinion, so that they report on pages 5 to 17, not 5 to 7 and 9 to 17. It causes unnecessary costs to both accountants and auditors each year to change round and get this done manually.

  10. Would like to have the ability to not only filter by staff assigned to a job but the staff who have added the WIP to the job. ie. Show me all WIP added by staff member John Smith where it only shows the jobs that have WIP that has either come from their timesheets or they have added the costs to the job.

  12. I use the reporting layout editor to create a summary of account codes to show a more condensed view of the P&L or Balance Sheet. It would be useful to have the ability to toggle this down or up to see a breakdown of the summary account codes without having to edit the report format. This could used across all different reporting templates.

  13. With the updates to STP reporting, many clients are being found non-compliant on super payments. To be able to easily reconcile payments made in Xero Super, it would be very useful to generate an Excel file of what was paid - how much, to whose fund, and what payroll period it belongs to.

  14. Reports - Advisor Report functionality recommendations:
    1. Ability to add any report (including customized/saved/published reports) to Advisor report packages. I only see a limited selection of reports from the Add Report dropdown. I feel like I should be able to add any report I want.
    2. Ability to add separator pages easily (like "supplementary information" page) that don't have the company name/date in the header. This would also be useful for adding a letter / accountant's report on letterhead.
    3. Ability to customize the cover page for wording, layout, logo, etc.

  16. Enable User Created Pay items to feed data into Pension filings and payroll expense journals. Currently, any additional pension pay items that aren't created by Xero automatically won't pull through to the pension file. The same happens for re-imbursements

  19. It'd be extremely helpful to have a field available for any type of client where a registered business name can be recorded, and if the business name is searched in the client list, the entity that the business name is recorded against shows up.

    For example, if Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd owns the business name Bloggs Flowers, we could search for Bloggs Flowers in XPM and Joe Bloggs Pty Ltd would show up.

  20. Hi there

    We would like to request that the GST Return, GST Reconciliation and general ledger reports are able to be included in the report packs at the practice level.

    We are requesting this function to streamline reporting for periodic GST work. We would ideally have two report packs set up at the practice level that all staff can access when preparing clients GST.

    Hi everyone, to provide an update relating to the original reports that were raised in this idea, and feedback through the thread. The following reports are all available to add to a report template in Xero HQ;

    • General Ledger Detail 
    • General Ledger Summary 
    • General Ledger Exceptions
    • Tax Depreciation Schedule


    We currently have no plans to make other reports available in report templates.
