  1. To stop the autocorrection for daylight saving in the Timer. I know only happens twice a year, but is very frustrating trying to enter time when the Timer keeps adding (or removing) an hour from the time entered. For example - when enter 09.00 in the Start time, jumps to 10.00; then when enter 10.00 in End time, both the Start and End time jump to 11.00.
    Please can have corrected so the time does not autocorrect.

  2. Hi there, could Xero please add a VAT reconciliation report to the reports section where we can reconcile each VAT period's VAT payable/receivable to the VAT control account. This would make the VAT reviews and VAT reconciliations at year end so much easier and faster.

  3. When inputting R&D figures for a period of account longer than 12 months (i.e. where 2x corporation tax returns are needed), we are unable to put specific R&D expenditures in a specific corporation tax periods. This is an issue with overseas workers where the periods are pre and post 1 April 2024, and where expenditure is only eligible in one of the periods. As currently, the expenditure is pro-rated, this means that non-qualifying expenditure is being brought into one of the periods.

  4. Please add a column or filter to the XPM Job Manager screen for client Groups. There is currently no column/filter for client group in the job manager screen in XPM - which means if you want to see all the jobs for a client group - e.g. Alf Barbagallo - have to search each entity individually. Also means cannot easily do a bulk update for all jobs in a client group.

    ✨ Appreciate you raising this, Julie! We understand how adding a client group filter to Job Manager would speed things up and cut the back-and-forth. In the meantime, a quick workaround: press Ctrl + F (Cmd + F on Mac) and type the client’s name into your browser’s search box to jump to matching entries on the page. Your idea is now in gaining support, so it’s open for votes and comments. If you can, please share it with colleagues who’d benefit—more support helps us gauge impact and prioritise what matters most.

    Hi YiLing thanks for sharing this idea. Currently Xero allows the ability to use draft returns and the "Estimate" tab for basic scenario testing. For complex scenarios, it is recommended to use ATO calculators and compare results manually. We will move this idea to Gaining support and monitor for more traction from users.

  7. It would be lovely if a practice could acces every required platform from the Xero dashboard. Including where one can keep an eye on the practices status and points.

    We’ve updated the status of this idea to Gaining Support.

    Currently, you can hover over a certification to view the expiry date, with colour indicators showing when a certification is close to expiring (yellow) or already expired (red). This idea suggests extending that functionality by including the certification type directly within the Staff tab.

    If this change would improve how you work, we encourage you to vote or comment to show your support. Your input helps inform areas of focus for future improvements.

    While there isn't a direct filter for account codes in Xero right now, you could potentially explore the option to use Contact groups or tracking categories to help sort clients in this report.

    We'll keep an eye on the interest on this idea here, and let you know if there are any updates.

  10. We should be able to customise this invoice date order as a default setting, it opens in no order and having to click on the Due Date twice every time to get the invoices in order of latest to oldest to check before billing on every client is a real pain and waste of time when we have to do it so often.
    We would appreciate you looking at making this a customisable setting very soon, thank you

  11. There should be a comprehensive audit trail for jobs set up in XPM. In addition to the information about who created/modified details, individual time entries must show edited or moved details. We've had an instance where billable entries have been popping up into a client's job that should not have billable entries. What's scary is that these billable entries belong to various other clients who have no connection to the non-billable client. We cannot find who if anyone did move the entries and Xero does not have the ability to tell us either.

  12. Xero sign in document packs - you currently need to manually input the client's details to add their signature for each document pack (for docs with no auto signing feature like tax returns).

    It would be great if there was an option to simply select a client from XPM as all the details are already there (First name/Last name/Email)

  13. NZ Tax - Prevent return finalisation when PIE exceeds what's claimable
    In a non resident return it would be good if Xero could prevent finalisation of the return where the PIE tax credit is in excess of what is claimable under the Tax on Taxable Income/Taxable Income x PIE Income formula. Thanks

  14. ⭐Description:

    In the previous version of Xero, after we clicked Copy PO → Bill, the system would first open the draft bill screen, allowing us to:

    review the details

    edit the invoice number

    adjust line items if needed

    and then submit the bill for approval

    This workflow was very efficient, especially for businesses handling a high volume of purchase orders.

    However, after the recent Xero update, when we use Copy PO → Bill, the system now:

    immediately marks the PO as PO – Billed,

    automatically creates the draft bill in the background,

    and does not open the draft bill screen…

  15. Our client submits VAT returns in UK and in the Republic of Ireland - they have set up 13.5% and 23% ROI tax rates on Xero but the VAT on these transactions is posted to the normal 820 VAT liability along with all their UK VAT transactions.
    Can a second VAT liability account not be set up for their ROI VAT and these tax rates linked to it, so as to keep the VAT for the returns in the two different areas separate?

  16. Please make it possible to allocate expenses to any bank account while in hubdoc. That way a lot of time is saved when reconciling transactions to the bank account.

  19. In APS you have the ability to live synch the tax ledger. As an example a transfer to 2025 from 2024 income tax made today won't show until the next day in the tax return summary.
    A synch button to do this would be helpful and save time from stopping the job until the next day to print/save

  20. Similarly to iFirm, would be great to be able to make amendments to the return in Xero, mark it as an amendment, and then file from Xero rather than having to make the amendment in MyIR, then make the same amendment to the already filed tax return in Xero. Makes it harder to keep track of what has been done.
