Xero files - option to view files as a group, reducing the need to open individually
New Xero files - add option to return to the old way of viewing bills that had been uploaded?
I often log in to 80-100 bills that have been uploaded into files for me to add to a clients xero. Until the recent changes you could click on the oldest one and then scroll through each one viewing them full screen whilst working on another screen to add the information to a bill in xero. Now when you click on the file it opens in a much smaller box on the far side of the screen and you can't scroll through all of the files. I can make it full screen but because I can't scroll through I have to go out of each bill and then click into the next and then make that full screen which adds more time and unnecessary 'clicks'. I've looked through the guides to see if there is a way of choosing how the bill view is presented but I can't find anything. Please can you reinstate this feature? I've already had my workload increased by the changes to invoicing, resulting in it taking longer to add part payments - although the number of pop up boxes and extra clicks has been reduced slightly from the original 'new' version. I've been advised by a specialist to open each new bill in a different window to cut down on the number of clicks, but this isn't helpful when you are dealing with a large number of bills. The other suggestion was to use the esc key instead of clicking, again this doesn't help with the added time the current change has added to my workload.

While that exact group view isn't available in the new design, we have a helpful trick: we recommend you try expanding the side view of the file so it fills up most of your screen. When you do that, you'll be able to quickly jump between files just by hitting the Tab and Enter keys on your keyboard. The 'helpful trick' isn't helpful if you are using a laptop. I can have 2 tabs open side by side, but the new bills view means the bill is only on half of the page (1/4 of the screen), and if I change the view to full page, I have to click back out of it to find the next bill when I could just use the arrows before. This just makes everything more time-consuming for the user. You seem to be changing everything with the view that everyone is using multi-screen desktops but most of my clients are using laptops, tablets and mobile phones to access xero and are struggling with the new format. :-(
