  2. Can we dumb it down for our clients when it comes to selecting the account code. When creating an invoice or a purchase bill we should not be able to code it to Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable. When posting directly to Xero it gives you an error but when someone is posting to BILL or QuickBooks it continues to let it go through. Then when BILL syncs with Xero it causes a syncing error. This is also an issue with the bank accounts being select as the account code. Why can we just remove bank accounts, AR and AP…

  4. Can you please make it so depending on the answer to a question, it can add in another question? I am setting up templates for client onboarding and I want to ask a question of whether they are already registered for tax. If they say yes, I want another question to pop up asking for their UTR.

  5. XPM Custom Report - Allow field selection & criteria to access client, tax & invoice data. We need to run a report that will check if a tax return was created within a date range and then check if any invoices were created during that same time. Currently we have created a custom report of clients who we have started a tax return for and then we manually have to check if they were invoiced.

  6. US Xero Clients have Avalara built into Xero as the Auto Sales Tax feature. With legislation changing significantly around Sales Tax in the US, Canadian Companies who sell into the US would really benefit from having the same feature available to them.

  7. Would be great if we have an option when all new clients are entered - all staff are added automatically as Advisors rather than Managed Client. It currently requires an administrator to go and edit permissions for every new client. Then if security is needed to protect certain client info it can be added by the administrator.

  8. I've just set up a salary sacrifice for a cycle to work scheme in payroll. However there isn't an end date in Xero so I have to manually diarise a date to stop the salary sacrifice for the employees. Please could a box be added to automate this.

  10. There is currently no option for tracking inventory items on Hubdoc, aside from using the tracking categories. It is very laborious having to go into each transaction on Xero, after being published from Hubdoc, and select the Tracking Inventory items which in turn when selected changes the rest of the details on the line including the description originally filled into Hubdoc!

    It would save a great amount of time to include this field in the Hubdoc 'Destination' window and for Hubdoc to retrieve the inventory Items from the company's Xero account in the same way as the 'contacts' and 'accounts'…

  11. We use multiple tax agent numbers across our business yet when we lodge STP reports via the client's organisation, we can only use one tax agent number for all clients as Xero only allows for one tax agent number to be set in Xero HQ.

    This is causing many issues, including staff and clients inadvertently updating tax agent details in the STP lodgment area on their own file, which is then updating the tax agent in HQ for all STP lodgements.

  12. It would be great to be able to set up Security Groups with permissions set for each group, which is then applied to each staff member by adding the Staff to that Security Group.

    This way, if a permission needs to be changed for a group of Staff, it can be done at the security group level rather than having to click into each Staff member and edit their individual permissions - which can create inconsistencies and easily miss settings when dealing with a large number of Staff.

    Hi everyone, as Charlotte has mentioned below, this is not a feature we are currently planning to introduce due to other commitments. However, we will continue to monitor this ticket.

    In the meantime, as a workaround, the adjustment can be manually entered in both the self employment and partnership schedule.

  16. When using the group address update, for example, it does not register as a change to all group entities and thus does not push the change for all entities across to integrated programs (such as Xero and HowNow). It is only the individually changed client that gets updated. Can this be fixed so the group update also registers as an update for the rest of the group entities?

  19. To have a function that essentially works as a sticky note on the details page of the clients file. Although there is the notes function, it it easily lost within the multiple tabs, however if something was right there on the home screen for all to see it isn't as easily missed/ignored. It could be something simple like a staff member has been trying to get in touch with the client, or bringing attention to an address change, noting the preferred method for documents to be signed etc.
