  1. I would like to export batch payments but instead of a summed up amount for a supplier I would like to have separated invoice line items.

    Eg, 5 invoices for OF should result in 5 lines on the CSV import for the bank instead of 1 line with the total.

  2. Good day,

    Would it be possible to allow us to import the staff assignment via the CSV import file rather than assigning staff afterwards. Same for the template, category and job state.

    Regarding the bulk staff assignment function, could we add filters and have the columns sort when you click on the column headings of this section please.

    These two short comings is creating a huge delay in annual job creation for routine jobs.

    No we cannot use re-curing jobs as XPM does not have the functionality yet to choose the date on which the re-curing job is created, you…

  3. It would be a great help if we could update status for a job as and when the timesheet is done.
    At the moment we go to each job and update the status at the end of the day. In my opinion this would save lot my time hovering around.
    I have attached a screenshot in pdf to better explain.

  4. Xero workpaper functionality that can connect to more than one Xero file to reconcile inter-entity loan accounts, or confirm rental income and expenses, or Div 7A interest and expense, etc.

    Eg: Debit loan in Company A, Credit loan in Trust B - can link both totals to see at a glance the loans match on both debit and credit sides.
    Entity A pays related-party rent to Entity B - link B's income and A's expenses to see at a glance that the amounts are correct on both sides in both files

  5. Would be great to copy company access rights from one staff user to another. When a staff member leaves and inherits a portfolio of clients would be great to copy client access from one client to another.

  6. One should be able to create tax returns for Companies that switched their Financials years to calendar year, to avoid late lodgements. For Example, for the companies whose financial year is 1 Jan,2022 to 31 Dec,2022, need to wait till Jun 2023 to file their tax returns

    We would like to request that the GST Return, GST Reconciliation and general ledger reports are able to be included in the report packs at the practice level.

    We are requesting this function to streamline reporting for periodic GST work. We would ideally have two report packs set up at the practice level that all staff can access when preparing clients GST.

    Thanks for sharing in this idea, everyone. We understand and appreciate why you'd like to navigate back to your placing within your list of clients, however there is no work for this at present. 

    Current focus for the team is improving and enhancing syncing of clients between Practice Manager and Xero HQ.
    We'll continue to share as this work progresses and the team are able to give more attention to topical ideas like this, here.

  9. Would we be able to have a tab in Xero Tax between 'To Sign' and 'To File' - called 'Returned' - so that any ITR or AS that has been e-signed is moved across into that tab?

  12. Ability to transfer customised reports between practices or other businesses. Currently this is not possible so if a client changes accounting practices then reports do not follow. This is expensive for the client for reports to be redone and totally unnecessary given that all the formatting necessary already exists on another system.

  16. We want to be able to report on any clients with outstanding balances at any point in time, and be able to action it before the ATO start calling us or the client to chase the debt.
    There is already a report on the ATO Portal – See attached screen shot. The report contains any AS’s that are overdue and also shows any clients debt/credit they may have on the ICA.

  17. Xero org name - this would be handy at client level. We currently put this information into the Contacts (e.g. Contact: ABC Dogs Position: Xero org known as this), with the improved Contacts field its not an appropriate place to put this information anymore. We have put it here as we can search for it, when applying Xero subs this is the only way we can identify this client with XPM.

  18. I would love to see an improvement with Xero XPM NOTES.

    We seem to leave 2 types of notes.

    TYPE 1: is URGENT, we want people within the firm to see it and read it. It would be good if you could select this note to be a banner across the top of the clients screen. Similar to how if the client has a debt it shows at the top. (love that function)

    TYPE 2: is just an ordinary note that is sufficient with the current design.

    It would also be great if you could share notes across multiple clients…

  19. In Xero Tax, you should be able to change the name format for all directors even if they've been appointed after the Accounts Year End. Currently if you've changed the name format for directors previously from 'SURNAME, Name' to 'Name Surname' when a new director is appointed post year end, they are brought into the company information page with 'SURNAME Name' format and there is no ability to change the format to 'Name Surname' to match the others so you then need to change the other directors to 'SURNAME Name' format to match.   20. Add the option for differing annual leave allowances (weekend rates) that deduct from the overall annual leave accrual.

    Currently the workaround Xero has advised is setting up a "weekend annual leave" leave type with the correct leave loading for weekends and manually adjusting the leave accrual.

    Alternatively, a possible solution is adding an allowance leave type "O" for reporting.
