Hubdoc - Quick view of outstanding receipts
Simplified view of outstanding receipts that need to be processed to the accounting software ie numbers reflected in the top tabs.

Workpapers for Individual Tax Returns
Workpapers for Individual Tax Returns - I'm new to workpapers and am still figuring it out. But they seem to be very ledger orientated. It would be good to have workpapers for Individual Tax Returns for entities that don't have a Xero datafile. For example - say salary and wage return. Linked to the tax return to show deductions and income ie - you have that union receipt, the basis you've calculated that work from home deduction, you have that buy/sell statement for the shares sold.

Practice Report - Add Bank Statements
Report Packs had the facility to add Bank Statements to it, but the new Reporting Templates does not support this. It would be really handy to have this as a template, as we roll it out across many of our clients

Practice Manager - Automatically create returns when recurring job is created
The option to have a draft automatically created when a recurring job is generated. Such as for GST and AIM.
It would be very helpful by saving time and assist us in making sure they are all filed.24 votes -
XPM - Job Manager - Add Work In Progress column
This will allow us to see unbilled WIP for a job all in one spot, instead of having to go to a different screen or run a separate report.

Practice Manager | Report on Final Returns lodged
I am wanting to run a weekly report which lists any lodged returns that have been ticked as Final Returns in the return itself. This will then trigger a set of tasks to wind up the client (ie ASIC deregistrations etc).

Xero Tax(UK) - save a default signature for accountants' report
Ability to add a default accountant's signature in the accountants' report. This would mean that the we do not have to sign each and every report before sending to client to approve and sign the balance sheet.

Hubdoc | Add new contact - Details to populate from the invoice
When creating a new contact in Hubdoc for Xero, it would be great if there was an option to add the contact details (address, phone, email, tax ID, bank details, etc) right then. Hubdoc could read the information from the invoice and populate it on the spot rather than my having to remember who I added on the fly, go find the information again, and then manually type it all in myself.

Staff Privileges - Option to edit 'billable' tick on costs
We have access to costs locked down so most staff cannot edit entered costs. However it would be useful if they could tick or untick the billable option that determines whether the cost appears on the invoice or is absorbed.

Xero Tax (UK) - Breakdown for Amortisation rates & Share capital analysis
Please add a section in the accounts note for a breakdown of the share capital - number of shares allotted and number of called up share capital which has been paid / place to add notes about the share capital.
Also there should be an option for amortisation rate anaylsis (same as the fixed assets depreciation anaylsis).

Hubdoc - Automate receipt publishing rules
I have 19 rental properties with 19 separate AT&T internet bills monthly. There needs to be a method within Hubdoc to automate publishing each receipt to a uniqueTracking Category each month. Right now it is all manual and very time consuming.

XPM - Time Scanner & Tracking
Similar to Xero Receipt Scanner, but just for timesheets
A functionality (app) that can scan a manual handwritten timesheet from a notebook and enter the time spent into XPM timesheet, for people who prefer manually writing timesheets in a notebook.

Reports - List of clients using reports to be retired
As there are a few Annual Accounts/ Financials reports that are being retired, it would help to be able see a list of our clients that we are using the reports that are to be retired. It is not feasible to physically check each client when you have hundreds of them.

AU Tax - Include '[Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns' field in Tax Return report
This is to do with Custom Reports and should be little effort for a good result.
I note that after discussions with Xero the [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns field is only available in the Client Returns report. It would be great to have [Tax Return AU] Not Started Returns in the Tax Return report area so you could generate a report on which returns have been started, in addition to the current status of the ones that have been started (ie Draft, Complete, Lodged) at the moment we can only see if a tax return has been created…

Xero Tax | Return - Re-arrange/Re-sort Line Items
Would love to be able to re-arrange line items in Tax Returns as we have everything listed in alphabetical order. In HandiSoft, we could click and drag lines.
Example situation:
Shares in 2020
BOQ
CBA
WBCShares in 2021
ANZ
BOQ
CBA
WBCTo add in ANZ, we need to delete BOQ, CBA and WBC, add in ANZ and then re-add BOQ, CBA and WBC. Very time consuming if there are multiple lines to add.

Xero Tax (UK) | Prepare Accounts for Dissolved Company
If a company is dissolved Companies House reports back that there are no year end date outstanding. But there are circumstances when you need to prepare axcounts for a dissolved company - for instance if you need to get the company re-instated. But Xero prevents you from progressing. All you would need to do is enter a year end date manually and you would be able to continue.

Projects: Custom date filters for Project Summary reports
It would be really helpful if you can add more filters in the Project Summary reports, e.g.. a date range for "Closed Date" so we can report on Projects completed in a specific month. At the moment the date range is based on time entries only.
