  1. Group Custom Fields - it would be very useful to be able to assign custom fields to groups rather than only contacts & individuals, then be able to report on these fields. This would help with areas such as marketing, estimated fee groups, and handover notes.

    We currently use the main billing entity but this would save a lot of time and improve efficiencies.

  2. Timesheet view and function similar to outlook calendar. Where it shows your timesheet entries like meetings on your calendar.

    1. It would be quick and easy to identify gaps you are missing
    2. Being able to drag them to extend or reduce entries
    3. Being able to copy and paste an entry. Make for faster input.

  6. Would be great to be able to customise reports generated through XPM so when generated it pulls through with the company logo, font preference and formatting instead of the generic format OR exporting to CSV and having to edit this every single time.

  7. Bank connections page allowing you to view all clients' bank feed statuses in one central location and easily update the connections for your clients in one go rather than navigating to each client’s account.

  10. The ability to see the history of an item's selling pricing within the Invoicing screen would be extremely helpful. Sales staff would be able to quickly access the selling price history of items within the Invoice screen to ensure that the latest price is used on invoices.

    The ability to see this history within the invoice screen will also remove the need to access a separate report in Xero to view the history of inventory item sales price, which will save a lot of time.

  11. Would it be possible to have a report that shows the bank transactions and the bill/invoices that it was reconciled with? It's time consuming to check transactions one by one just to find a transaction that was incorrectly reconciled. Please see below example for your reference.

  12. When using Tracking Categories on the balance sheet, we should be able to assign specific bank accounts to specific columns (or tracking categories). it would just be a feature where the balance "as of date" just displays in the column, regardless of all the prior transactions.

    Additionally, when paying loans, if a tracking category is assigned for balance sheet tracking purposes using columns, the Bank Balance that is transferred to the note becomes a Liability on the balance sheet.   13. Enable the ability to generate a report that includes users for each client organisation that includes users who are not staff members so that you can quickly see if the correct and relevant people are accessing the Xero file and know if you need to remove users who shouldn't be there.

  14. I’d like to suggest enabling the ability to fetch bank statements and check images directly, especially since Xero already offers a bank feed feature.

    QuickBooks Online (QBO) includes this functionality, where statements and checks are automatically retrieved and saved in the file section. It would be helpful to have a similar feature in Xero.

  16. Imagine that the worst has happened and the entire board of directors were eaten by sharks on the first day after the year end.

    Currently Xero Tax pulls the list of Directors from Companies House for the year in question, so
    while new directors could be appointed, none of them would be selectable to sign the Director's Report or Balance Sheet in Xero Tax. On the other hand we would be able to select Directors to sign the accounts who in this hypothetical situation were busy being fish food.

  17. XPM Timesheets/Timeclock - The ability for the saved time to be ordered from the most recent time to the first time entries of the day so you can quickly see when you last entered time, as a start point. This saves a whole lot of scrolling if you have a lot of entries for the day.

It would be good if Xero Tax calculated the estimated PAYG instalment payable in SMSF Tax Returns as we use this to inform our clients of what amounts they are up for in the new financial year, a very important piece of information for them to consider re timing and amount of cashflow outgoings. Xero Tax does it for individuals so not sure how difficult it would be to make it apply for all entities subject to the PAYG Instalment system.

  20. Have the option to print checks by First Name, Last Name or the other way around rather than according to how contacts are put in. For the contact list, people like LName, FName. For check printing, people prefer FName, LName. I know you can go in and manually override it, but it would be nice to have an automatic selection of how you prefer it.
