  1. Automatically add firm bank details to SA100. Most client refunds go directly into our client account and have to be entered manually each time. A way to select from saved details would save time.

  2. I have come across an issue where a client who is GST registered wanted their refund transferred to Provisional Tax. The only 2 options in Xero are GST 101 (GST only) and GST 103 (GST and Provisional Tax). I chose the GST 103 option and the Estimate option under that.
    The return was rejected by the IRD as a GST 103 return is for the Ration option only. I was told the return/option I needed to file is a GST 101A.
    This is not available in Xero
    I have never had the IRD reject this before so I am not…

  3. Xero apps - In Xero HQ we use to have the apps under the explorer tab, to see the most popular apps and what clients are using them. It was highly useful to advise clients when an app was to cease or we were introducing an alternative to see who was using it.

    Appreciate the interest and hearing the use you have in seeing integrated apps your clients have connected.

    As some will have received communication of some time back - we made the hard decision to retire Explorer in Xero HQ from 12 April, 2023.

    Right now, if you'd like to see the apps a client has connected you can open the Xero organisation, go to settings and select Connected apps.

    While this is something we may consider developing elsewhere in Xero HQ down the road, it isn't in the teams plans right now. We'll continue to track interest here, and let you know if there is any change surrounding this to share. Thanks

  4. It would be helpful to add transaction numbers to all transactions in Xero so you can more easily trace the changes of edits in the software. It would also be helpful if there was something that would show whether an individual transaction has already been included in a VAT return submitted and show which VAT return it was included in. For example in the account transaction report there could be a column that shows which VAT return the transaction was included in. In the individual transaction there could be a note below showing which VAT return it was included in.

  5. At the moment if you go to an Archived Xero Workpaper pack, you can't click the Xero hotlink button nor the Documents button next to an account. I understand preventing people from clicking the Done (tick), Manager and Principal approval buttons (and delete button of individual documents) - but there is no point to deactivate the Xero hotlink button so that I can't use that, and the click the documents button to see the documents linked to that specific account. Straight up lazy..

  6. Currently the Salary Sacrifice is just deducted on the Gross to Net report. Where as on the TB the amount is added. It would be good if this could be segregated.

  7. Can you please include a new column to show "Jon Title" to the Employee Remuneration or Employee Contact Details reports. This is really helpful information when we are completing our yearly reviews / promotions. Thanks

  8. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  9. Would be great to have the ability in XPM tax to identify if the client has a payment arrangement with IR. If there is somewhere in tax we can enter this information and this gets flagged when approving the tax payment letter, not to send the letter if the tax year is under arrangement.

  10. We are in the process of checking all Client details in XPM to ensure they are all complete and up to date. One of the checks that we were doing was to ensure that we had the NZBN numbers of clients recorded. However this appears to be the only client field that you are unable to select when creating a custom report!
    Xero's response to my query was "you may like to add this in as a custom field and input in the NZBN in the custom field section for the clients which will then pull into the report" -…

  11. It would be very useful to be able to customise All Clients view with your own selection of criteria, not just name, phone number and address. Being able to see the client manager would be beneficial. To be able to select your own choice of fields would be ideal.

  13. I would like to do a bulk update of the supplier configurations in HubDoc to set the "Configure rules for Xero" to "off" so that we can begin our configurations from scratch. Doing it maunally for the number of suppliers we have is very time consuming so I would like to request assistance in making a bulk change.

    The automated help agrees it a good idea and suggested the following

  14. Xero workpaper functionality that can connect to more than one Xero file to reconcile inter-entity loan accounts, or confirm rental income and expenses, or Div 7A interest and expense, etc.

    Eg: Debit loan in Company A, Credit loan in Trust B - can link both totals to see at a glance the loans match on both debit and credit sides.
    Entity A pays related-party rent to Entity B - link B's income and A's expenses to see at a glance that the amounts are correct on both sides in both files

  19. Whilst this currently auto calculates, there is no calculation in Xero to confirm the return has the correct amount. This has to be checked manually, which can leave room for errors and requires extra work by users. It would be more efficient if the system could check this.
