  1. I’d like to suggest adding an automated feature for populating dates in the Company Minutes, using the reporting date as a reference. This would eliminate the need to manually update dates throughout the document, saving time and reducing errors.

  2. I have just learned that XPM does not connect to Outlook and thus Client data is not synced. I thought this would be the most important information to sync with outlook, Afterall clients are who accountants communicate with most.

  3. The Cover Letter shows the Taxable income and refundable/payable amount, can it also then include spousal tax return information so we can send one cover letter for two tax returns.

  4. TPAR - Ability to add more than 12 rules. Some clients like to separate out each type of subcontractor they have on the books and end up with a lot more than 12.

  5. Xero HQ report templates overwrite the order of accounts to alphabetical when accessed at a client. The report templates are in the correct part of the financial statement for the client, but then it defaults to alphabetical order. This requires you to change the order for each client, even though it was done at the HQ level.

  6. Please add a column in Xero HQ, not unlike "unreconciled items" that notes the STP status of connected Xero organisations. Options to flag in this column are "STP 2 not setup", "[Year] Finalisation outstanding".

  7. I still have lots of staff asking to see a Group Certificate, especially if they have not put their tax in for a few years. It would be great if we could generate a "dummy" group certificate for the staff member, after the end of financial year. It give them the info they want immediately and adds professionalism to our company if we can provide what they need.

  8. Currently the file sizes generated in uploading receipts is unnecessary large - I often see 3Mb for a coffee receipt! This is problematic when onward charging expenses to customers (and requires manually resizing before adding to an invpice which is time consuming) and must be costing you a fortune in data storage. Why isn't the file size limited to a sensible size or at least configurable by the user?

Where clients are subscribers to their own Xero but add an adviser who is linked to a Xero partner practice, it would be useful if there was an option for them to choose to give the practice as a whole access so that if, eg, their contact leaves, the practice administrator can give access to their new contact as long as they are Partner Staff.

  11. In Job Manager, please include the following dates to allow better management of workflow and practice objectives to better service clients:

    • Job Received Date (from client) - make this editable, but history of changes is recorded and viewable.
    • Job Start Date (when job was started on, or triggered, for recurring ones)
    • Job STATE Due Date (for the specific Job States)
    • Job FINAL Due Date (eg. based on deadlines or Practice's targets, eg. within 8-12 weeks of receiving the Job)
    • Last Actioned Date (this can sit within the Comments/Notes column within Job Manager view, just as so many others have requested***).

    Hi Vernis, currently it's possible to view Start and Due date from Job Manager, however the others you've mentioned are not available. If we make any plans to add State, Last actioned date or Received date we'll update you here.

  12. Improve multi currency capability of XPM.

    Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders. Since there is no way to see what currency the invoice is in, reports from XPM are quite useless and differ significantly to profit reported in Xero for entities that invoice in…

  13. Can we please customise client page on XPM to add a column for the Account Manager. We currently see the Client NAME, PH NUMBER, and ADDRESS. Can we please add Account Manager to the page?
    It would cut out a lot time when processing morning mail or directing phone calls from clients as this would mean we don't have to open the client file to see who they belong to.

  14. If you update the report code mapping on a report template and save it as a draft, the changes won't reflect on the draft template in the client’s organisation.

    You either need to remove the report from your template and add it again, or run a fresh template in the client organisation.

    Above the answer for my problem - such an obvious issue, surely Xero, you can sort this out without waiting for folks to vote on it !!

  15. My firm works with additional bookkeepers, and we do not want to have their business or personal emails displayed in our clients files.

    Ideally, they would be behind the scenes and would just show our practice as connected.

    Next best would be showing first name or first and last name, but no email address.

    We can assign them an email address from our firm for a more professional appearance, but often their certifications follow their own business/personal email addresses.

  16. Automatically add firm bank details to SA100. Most client refunds go directly into our client account and have to be entered manually each time. A way to select from saved details would save time.

  17. I'd really love to see an option in My Xero where the default sorting can be set to the file most recently opened by me (as opposed to alphabetical, or the file last viewed date). That way all of the current clients I'm working on will be near the top of the list rather than having to scroll down and find them, or search each time!

  18. XPM job financial summary is available from the job screen and financial tab, under "print financial summary". As currently prepared the financial summary does not report actual invoices and total amount invoiced, in addition the report does not include the profitability measures for rate per hour and recovery percentage. This would be useful to have these calculated and presented at the top of the report.

  19. The 'export invoice to Xero' manual option should be available to staff that have approve invoice permissions. When we have a 'Xero export failed' message and staff correct the error, they need to be able to push this across manually to Xero blue without requesting it from an administrator.

  20. A number of our clients simply use hubdoc as a filing system as publishing to Xero is not as simple as they would like.
    So we maintain their Hubdoc accounts, we update the document type and archive. It would savea huge amount of time if we could bulk edit and bulk archive rather than having to do this one document at a time.
