Homepage - Ability to cap / fix the number of columns
I have a wide screen (normal width for a monitor, but wide compared to a tablet or laptop) which facilitates 4 widgets horizontally (the limit, after some testing).
The widgets take up the entire space horizontally, leaving no space either side, and feels cramped as a result. This is a break from a pretty long-standing web-design principle to which even the page I'm typing this suggestion into adheres (having about 10-15% margin/padding either side of your main content where space allows).
I'd love the option to cap the number of widget colums to 3 instead of 4 (keeping the width…
187 votesHi everyone, we appreciate and want to thank everyone for feedback on the responsiveness of the new Homepage. This has been shared back with our product teams as they continue to develop this experience.
At this stage, there are no plans to fix the number of columns when using the Homepage. However, our team will continue to monitor usage on this closely.
One recent change we’ve introduced is that the Homepage layout can be saved at each screen size.
For example, if you set up and save the Homepage layout for your laptop and then move to a larger monitor you’ll see this adapt. However, if you ‘edit’ the Homepage and save the layout separately from your monitor Xero will remember the layout for each screen size. You should only need to do this once for each screen you use.
We’re looking at enhancing the edit layout experience soon to…

Homepage - Set up multiple views (Basic, Intermediate and Advanced)
Have a few options so a basic user can cut down on the noise and just have bank accounts and the profit graph, for a new user this would be overwelming.
405 votesHi everyone, we appreciate the attention this idea has been getting. It's really good to hear how we can continue to improve the Homepage for our differing customers needs. We understand not all the widgets maybe useful to every user, and the 'Edit homepage' button will let you add or remove widgets to reduce what you see on the Homepage.
Taking on board feedback we're looking at the sizing of widgets and you'll find the 'Chart of Accounts' and 'Cash in and out' widgets are now smaller by default with an option to 'Make larger' - You can follow further updates for this on the idea here.
We have plans to dig deeper into possible 'view' options (like the different levels of views being asked here) in the new year and I'll share further updates here when this gets picked up. 🙂

Homepage - Show Purchase Orders
Show purchases orders on the dashboard, as per this thread! Would be really useful to see what is approved but not billed at a glance. https://central.xero.com/s/question/0D51N00004oQgTxSAK/is-it-possible-to-show-your-purchase-orders-on-the-dashboard?t=1652190558049&searchQuery
84 votesHi team, we appreciate the interest being able to see the information that is most important to you or a specific user from the homepage.
Our product teams are paying close attention to the feedback and what would be most useful to our customers as they continue to develop this experience. Being upfront, Purchase orders widget is not in the roadmap atm, but we will be sure to share of there are any plans made for this, here.

New Homepage - Track Quotes
Ability to track quotes and Purchase orders on the Dashboard
Purpose: This would allow for quick access and visibility of quotes
163 votesHi team, we very much appreciate the desire for a quick snapshot, and visibility of quotes at a glance from the Homepage. While we're continuing to iterate on this experience we want to be open that a dedicated quotes widget is not in the pipeline at present.
An option for more oversight of quotes could be to use Cashflow manager in Xero Analytics. Though not a dedicated visualisation or widget Quotes contribute to this projection and you can get a view of the Quotes breakdown from the Manage cash in tab.
We'll continue to keep this in mind as the team to continue to plan their roadmap, and I'll make sure to share if there are any updates to share around this with you here.
