XPM: Practice - Timesheets: Enter Timesheet: Defaulting Dates and Amending Time Entries
When entering a Timesheet, the date keeps defaulting to the first day of the week (Monday) in the timesheet. Even when manually changing the date, at times if the window is left idle for too long it defaults back to the Monday again causing problems with times for each day if you don't notice it has changed. Then when you identify the entry that is incorrect if you drill into it from the timesheet to correct it, it doesn't return you back to the Enter Timesheet window, it returns you to the Job. Workpapers - Notes
I (eventually) found how to export notes, but (1) when I export I would like to include the Account Name as well as the account code. Otherwise the queries would need to be worded with more detail in them.
(2) The format of the report could be improved - it already has "Client Query" as a heading, that doesn't need to be repeated on every single query.
(3) Also hoping these will be exportable to Xero Ask or some format that allows a response by the client to be attached to the specific query.

The help and notifications buttons should be in a separate section. It is more user friendly to have just the search, timesheet and JAX buttons in the top right of the screen.

XPM - Staff Monitoring - Staff timesheets
I propose introducing a “Staff Dashboard” that provides a simple weekly view of each staff member’s timesheet, showing what they worked on and how many hours were recorded. For each job, it should also show the total hours spent by the individual, the total hours on the engagement, and the budgeted hours. This would allow managers to quickly understand both staff activity and whether jobs are running within budget.
In addition, there should be better reporting to compare similar jobs across periods, helping identify inefficiencies and improve pricing. Overall, timesheet reporting needs to be more practical and insightful, as time…

Client Edit Screen - Typing in dropdown boxes
When adding the client's title you used to be able to type directly in the dropdown box, e.g. 'Mr', and it would take you straight to the option. Now you have to scroll all the way down to 'M' to find it.

Tab Colour Differentiation for Tax Returns
Previously, the tab colours were green when in XPM and blue when in a tax return, which was a really helpful visual cue.
Now that all tabs are black/grey, it’s much harder to quickly distinguish between them, especially when working across multiple tabs and jumping between information and returns.
Would it be possible to reintroduce a different tab colour when in a tax return?

Custom fields of archived clients still show up in reports
Currently, when a client is archived, custom fields continue to show up in a customised report (even when "Exclude Archived Clients" is selected). Please ensure that when creating a report relating to custom fields, and selecting "Exclude archived clients", that the custom fields of archived clients don't show up in the report.

archive filed returns
Tax manager has three tabs under Filed returns 'all', 'filed' and 'archived'. Historically, I have always archived my returns in XPM once they are sucessfully filed / paid. I can still easily do that under the 'Returns' menu - but not under Tax Manager. I need to open the individual return to archive it.

Bulk Action - move from 'Ready to Start' to next status
- I'd prefer an extra status like "Information Requested" - maybe customised statuses could be available?
- The ability to bulk select returns in 'ready to start' and create a number of returns at once would be great for client groups - most returns are done as a 'family'.

Xero Partner Hub - Ability to add Client Image/Picture/Logo
The recent UI improvements in XPM have come at the expense of being able to upload a picture of the client or the business logo to XPM. This was a great feature an one that made XPM more fun to use.
When staff are working on a client, they can see what they look like and that the client name and code is a person not a taxpayer. This was an excellent feature and for the life of me I cannot understand why this has been removed. The old images are still there but you can no longer change or…

We need to have the option of multiple master admin! I am in a small practice and it makes it quite difficult to not have the few directors have then same access.

Tags should be a controlled list not a user generated list
Client Notes in XPM, Tags should be a list controlled by the Practice administrator.
Not a list that every user can add to.
The tags very quickly become useless as every user just adds their own version of the same tag, one will call it "Phone Call", then "Phone Calls", then "Phone Call out", and so on and so forth so you end up 10 tag for phone calls, some call it "File Note" the "File Notes" and then "Notes" we already have 40 tags with 2/3 being for the same thing.1 voteThanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Ideas. Linking of notes across entities within the same group
Would be extremely helpful if client notes were able to be seen for all entities in a group instead of only at the client level.

Widget - partner selection
Income tax returns & Activity Statements to be able show widget based on partner/manager assigned to clients

Billable Hours Percentages
Bring back the percentages on the billable hours and time summary widgets to show the percentage of billable hours out of the total hours. These percentages were on the old version of the homepage, but have been removed from the new partner hub homepage.

Jobs - Period Start Date and End Date (UK) VAT returns and Companies House
Tax obligations, such as VAT returns, can be linked to a job when you create the job. I assume the job details are pulling from the HMRC API for MTDVAT. It shows the period start date and end date and the submission due date. Why doesn't XPM a) allow us to specify a period start date, period end date and submission due date b) automatically fill these fields in c) create future jobs automatically based on the 'obligation periods' retrieved from HMRC d) automatically suggest to 'complete' the job if it knows that the VAT return has been filed -…
