XPM has gone backwards
The new XPM is not an upgrade in any way. It is a major step backwards with reduced functionality and reduction of user-friendly features that has been repackaged as new and innovative, but in essence, it's nothing more than a redesign and colour change for the global edition.
As accounting firms, we don't need fancy dashboards that tell us nothing, we need automation features, integrations and workflow optimisation that save us time like client portals, digital signing, easy bulk job renewals, proposal acceptance/signing to job conversion etc but the proposed solution is to just look for an add-on and juggle multiple apps so that XPM doesn't have to invest in improving the software and adding more features to compete with other established practice management solutions TaxDome, Cone, Karbon etc.
Overall, pretty disappointing "upgrade" and clear that XPM is not a priority for Xero in the near future, lots of good features are being released for Xero but XPM is lagging behind significantly now.
