Allow custom fields to be added as columns in Tax Manager (and Job Manager)
Currently, custom fields can be created in XPM but can't be added as columns in Tax Manager or Job Manager list views. This means practices have to open each job individually, or export to Excel or run a custom report, just to see custom field data alongside standard job information. This has already been raised for Job Manager, where practices have asked for the same thing since 2023.
We'd like the option to select which custom fields appear as columns in these list views, the same way custom fields already work in the Clients list.
Example use case: Many practices track statuses that don't fit neatly into XPM's fixed fields, such as whether a lodged return resulted in a refund or a payment, or where billing sits (billed, collected, on a payment plan). Being able to see this at a glance in one list view, instead of switching between screens or running exports, would save significant time for practices managing job workflows across multiple staff.
Why this matters broadly: Every practice defines its own custom fields differently, but the underlying need is the same: to see job or client data relevant to their workflow without leaving the list view. This isn't specific to one type of workflow; it's a configurability gap that affects any practice using custom fields.
