  1. The new beta job creation doesn't do anything the old one didn't do, everything is just either bigger or surrounded by more white space so there's less information on screen at once. It feels great on a touchscreen on an iPad, but I would assume most users are on a desktop where the experience is now just worse.

    Thanks for your feedback on our updates to Jobs within the practice experiences beta. Our team are following and considering all feedback we receive through this forum very closely and I'll be sure to let you know if there are any updates.

  2. Since the recent updates, we've noticed that once a return is marked as “archived”, it no longer appears within the job it was originally created in. Previously, archived returns remained accessible through the job.

    Could you please reinstate the ability to view archived returns within their associated job?

    Hi everyone, thanks for your feedback on archived returns in jobs. We appreciate you sharing how important it is to keep archived returns visible within their original jobs for practice management.

    This idea has now moved to Gaining support, which means our community team have reviewed it and it's open for community support through votes and comments. We encourage others who would find this helpful to add their votes and share how this could benefit their workflow.

  3. It would be helpful to add additional filters to the jobs on the dashboard so that you could filter out certain job states and see true workflow for jobs that are due at that point in time.

    Appreciate you letting us know how filters on the Jobs widget in the new XPH homepage would be useful.

  4. The list of jobs at a client level and Group level no longer displays the start date. Only due date is showing.
    This functionality was available before. I am not sure why it was omitted. Helps team members to review and prioritise jobs for a Group based on the start date when the job was received or has been scheduled to start.

  7. Enter Time - you have to put in start time. It should default to your last time entry like it does under view timesheets.

  9. Please add "Search Function" under the client Jobs - same as in the job manager in order to search for specific "current" and "archived" jobs, the sort function is not sufficient.

  10. I use the timer, it would be great to be able to access the job from the timer menu rather than opening job manager.

  12. It would be good to have the ability to quickly update the due date of a job either directly from the XPH homepage under the 'Jobs assigned to me as staff' or from the client 'Jobs' section without having to go into each job and edit the due date. Or both options would be great too!

    Thanks for this suggestion! I’ve moved your idea into Gaining Support.


    Currently, the Projects widget on the dashboard only shows a handful of your most recent or active jobs. If you have a larger list, you have to click away from the dashboard to see them all.


    I can see how a scrollable list would be a huge benefit for project managers who want to keep an eye on everything from one screen! I’ve updated the title to "Projects - Suggestion for scrollable or expandable jobs list on the Dashboard widget" to help other members find and vote for it.


    Quick Tip for now: Don't forget that you can also use the JAX (Just Ask Xero) assistant on your dashboard. You can ask "Show me the status of [Project Name]" to get a quick update without leaving the page while we wait for more votes on this idea!

    We appreciate you taking the time to suggest how favouriting jobs in XPM could help streamline your workflow, especially for frequently accessed items like Admin jobs.

    We've moved this idea to Gaining Support, which means our Community team has reviewed it and it's now open for the community to show their support through votes and comments. This helps us understand how many users could benefit from this type of functionality and informs future product decisions.

  15. Xero Practice Manager currently allows bulk job state changes only through the Job Manager interface or via API integrations. However, there is no native feature to bulk upload a CSV file to update job states for existing jobs. This limitation creates inefficiencies for practices managing large volumes of jobs, especially when correcting errors or applying workflow changes across hundreds of jobs.

    Proposed Solution:
    Introduce a Bulk CSV Upload for Job Updates feature in XPM that:

    Matches existing jobs using Job Number as a unique identifier.
    Allows updating specific fields such as:

    Job State
    Priority
    Assigned Staff

    Provides a preview screen…

  16. Job Notifications - new notifications do not open up until you open an existing job (so we do not know that they are even there until you open the job)..Suggest Job Notifications should open when entering Job Manager (i.e. One level up).
