  1. On the "Send Statements" page...

    The address is not needed as the customer can be identified by their name or account number, and 99.9% of statements are now emailed anyway. Removing this would allow space for the two pieces of information that are necessary when individually chasing overdue payaments, plus one extra useful number... The date of the invoice, the date payment was/is due, and the number of days overdue.

    This could then be easily referenced when personalising the pop-up email box .... e.g. Your payment was due 30/11 and is now 35 days overdue. Please make the payment as…

    Hi Roger, thanks for the feedback on this idea. it’s clear that seeing the number of days overdue directly on the Send Statements screen would make it easier to prioritise follow-ups without interrupting your workflow.

    At the moment, the Date and Due Date of each outstanding invoice are already displayed on the Send Statement screen, but having the actual days overdue visible would give immediate context and help you act faster when sending statements.

    We have now move this idea to Gaining Support, which means it’s open for votes and comments. Hearing from the community will help our product teams understand how much value this visibility would add across different workflows.

    Hi Mark, it’s clear that being able to move between different transaction lists more easily would make workflows smoother, especially when you’re juggling multiple parts of the business—like checking a quote one moment and verifying a bill the next.

    At the moment, switching between Invoices, Bills, and other areas often means going back to the main list, which adds extra clicks and interrupts your flow.

    As a workaround for now, you can right-click on Invoices or Bills in the Business menu and select Open link in new tab. This lets you keep multiple screens open at once and toggle between them without losing your place.

    This idea has been moved to Gaining Support so we can track interest in a built-in quick-switch feature.

  3. Stripe allows you to turn on/off additional services like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link by Stripe. However, these controls are DISABLED when integrating with Xero, which creates a problem. We moved invoicing to Xero specifically because it allows you to dynamically add a surcharge for credit card payments -- but, by automatically adding Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Link, you're allowing payers to bypass the surcharges! You should re-enable those controls through Stripe, allowing users to CHOOSE whether or not they want to use those payment services.

    I can see how the inability to toggle specific digital wallets like Apple Pay or Google Pay creates an issue when you are trying to manage surcharges effectively.


    Since there isn't currently a way to disable these specifically within the Xero-Stripe settings while keeping standard credit card payments active, I’ve moved this to 'Gaining Support' to see how many other users are impacted by this.

  5. I would like the ability to edit inventory item costs directly from the quote page, similar to the option available on the invoice page. I don't mean the price on the quote itself, I mean the cost in the inventory. This would save me a lot of time.

  6. On the awaiting approval invoice page can we get more details for each customer, like any overdue amount and any credit they have in their account. Currently you cannot apply a credit unless you open the invoice. This will save time and errors.

  7. To have a way to easily detect which clients need individual e-invoice in invoici, e.g., there are Tax number in Xero,
    so that we can easily select those clients who need individual e-invoice and send to Inland Revenue in Malaysia.

  8. Hi all. We have recently come over the Xero from Attache.
    Several hundred times per month in Attache, we used the product look up option for individual products sold on Invoices and the same for individual products on Purchase orders however xero currently does not offer this as outlined below.
    By putting in a code into the search area for invoices and P/O, we would like the option to search for that item, then click on the product that is identified as the one we want to look up, and bring up the invoice or purchase order the product is…

  9. Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".

    Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.

  10. Attached preview window to stay in locked screen on the Left, with line items to be on the right on a scroll screen. Because if you add attachments to work from, the screen will be ready to view from the top left and if you have more than 20-line items inputted and you're working from the bottom. You can't see what the attachment is to work from. Look at pictures to see the mark up of issue. This issue is same as the bills.   11. When two users open the same invoice draft on different devices and make changes simultaneously, only the changes made by the last person to save and close the invoice are retained, resulting in earlier changes being overwritten.

    It would be very helpful if Xero could restrict invoice drafts to be opened by only one user at a time, or provide a warning/lock to prevent simultaneous editing and accidental data loss.

  12. I would like to suggest adding functionality to better support zero-decimal currencies (such as JPY, KRW, IDR) within Xero. Currently, the system assumes two decimal places for most currencies, which can lead to rounding issues and inaccuracies for currencies that do not use decimals.

    Key points to consider:

    Currency Settings: Allow users to define certain currencies as zero-decimal so that calculations and display formats automatically adjust.
    Tax and Rounding Logic: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations by applying correct rounding rules for zero-decimal currencies.
    Reporting and API: Update reports and API outputs to handle zero-decimal currencies consistently, avoiding integration errors.

  13. Currently, in order to send multiple invoices at once, each invoice has it's own email address box to enter the recipient's email, there is no selection available to send multiple invoices to a custom email address in one click.

    This would be most helpful, especially when multiple invoices are required to go to a different email address (from the default contact email). At the moment this means entering a different email into each individual address box, even if this means entering the same email up to 50 times for each invoice selected.

  17. PREVENTING INVENTORY UNIT AMOUNTS FROM BEING EDITED IN INVOICES.
    ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS NOW I HAVE ACCIDENTALLY TABBED TO THE AMOUNT COLUMN AND ENTERED A QTY. WHICH HAS OVERWRITTEN AN ITEM AMOUNT FOR THAT INVOICE - AS I HAVE MANY SIMILAR INVENTORY ITEMS FOR A CUSTOMER I OFTEN USE " LOAD LAST ITEMS " THAT HAS CAUSED ME MULTIPLE INCORRECT INVOICES AS IT LOADS THE EDITED PRICE NOT THE STD ITEM PRICE LOOSING ME $100s OF DOLLARS THAT HAVE BEEN PAST PAID. CANT SEE A WAY OF MAKING THE INCOICE AMOUNT COLUMN UN EDITABLE -

  18. When on pretty much any view, sometimes you just need to copy an invoice number (or a few).

    Now, when you click on a line, it goes to the invoice.

    Please give an option to disable the click to go to invoice/credit/bill, and allow us to click on a line to highlight/copy as right now it gets annoying - you have to click, but then press escape quickly enough, or, download as a CSV which just takes too long.

    I've checked the Invoices and Bills pages, and see much the same sort of behaviour. For example, when trying to highlight an invoice number in the Number column, or the Reference column for Bills, it tends to take you into the transaction.

  20. When an invoice is fully settled by a 100% application of a credit, discount, or retainer, Xero should automatically populate the 'Paid Date' with the date the credit/discount was applied.

    It sounds like you're applying the 100% discount directly within the invoice. If the paid date differs from the invoice date you could apply a credit note which will record the paid date as the date issued in the credit note.
