Contacts - Custom fields on invoices and contacts
Ability to add a custom fields to a contact record that is able to be displayed on invoices
Purpose: Ability to include more information that’s unique to customers/business/industry that assist the transaction and relationship between customers

Hi everyone, we’ve taken time to review the suggestion to include custom fields for both invoices and contacts, and recognise the value it'd bring in helping users capture more detailed information and avoid manual processes.
However, with other focuses drawing the teams attention such as multiple addresses this idea is not on our current development roadmap.
As we continue to plan future roadmaps, being highly supported this idea will continue to be considered, however we want to be open about it's current position with you all here. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and for your ongoing participation in the Xero community. Any changes to this status will be shared with everyone on this idea.

Id love the opportunity to be able to do a bulk invoice for our customer and have a custom field where we can input their PO#. as we invoice hundreds of orders at one time this will decrease paper and work it the office.

Custom fields would be great to add additional 'tax type' columns. For example, Fuel adjustment factor to increase line by line totals where relevant.

Allow more details to be added to the Invoice template, i.e. site address, insurance company, policy no. etc

My clients would like two reference fields, one for their ref and one for their client ref and then they can search using these fields too.

I use Xero for a club and would love the ability to create custom fields to identify types of membership, customers etc and then search on these fields.

Useful to create a custom field in contact masterfile to identify contact types (eg travel suppliers) and the ability to search on this field.

This would also be useful for suppliers - in South Africa we are required to report annually on our spend from various levels of supplier based on their BEE credentials. If we could add these credentials to the supplier information we would be able to generate the required reports from Xero.

Postal Address and Street Address SHOULD BE CHANGED to Billing Address and Shipping Address with the ability to tick a check box if these are the same address.

This would be extremely helpful for sending International Customs invoices that require EORI and VAT codes. We are using Xero US version, and there is nowhere to put that information.
