Hi, I would like to be able to complete quotes correctly please. So for example, QU-6767 was accepted by the customer. The customer later decided that only one line of the quote was required, which was invoiced. I would now like to mark the remaining part of the quote as declined.

It would therefore be helpful to have more options for the quotes system, to be able to mark the quote as partially invoiced and the remaining as declined, even after the quote has been accepted.

I create monthly reports of accepted, declined and invoiced quotes. It would be helpful to have the correct function options to gain more accurate reporting and to not leave the quotes in an un-finished status.

Currently we are amending the quote by deleting lines when we part invoice - this is to stop us running the risk of invoicing the full quote in error in the future and not just what's outstanding. However this means that we never have the full quote history for part invoiced quotes on xero. A function for the quote to automatically update with remaining lines to invoice whilst still keeping the history of the full quote intact would be extremely beneficial to our business and save significant amount of time in having to save quotes outside of Xero and search as needed.

Having the ability to be able to choose certain items from a quote to invoice and then the quote updating to show what has yet been invoiced would be a great funtion.

This is something I need to do, so agree this would be a useful function.

Yes if a quote has multiple line items that need to be invoiced at different times it would be great if once you invoice one item the quote is updated to show what has been invoiced and leaves the remaining amount still to be invoiced.

Yes, this would be absolutely fantastic! I've had clients hassle to go back to Quickbooks because Xero does not have this function.

Yes, this would be great value for my clients to see all services available and they can choose which services they would like to take at that moment. The items that have chosen should calculate to the final quote value. Those that are deselected should be great out.

This will allow the clients to see what services are available and to create their own custom package.

We really need this as may need to move away from Xero if we can't have it.
We need the ability for clients to accept PARTS of a quote and not all of it - so accept or decline line by line. Or even better would be accept / decline / to be agreed a later date. As we have clients who know they definitely want X and they might want Y and when the see the quote they decide X for now and we might do Y later on in a few months - see how X goes. For example, they want a timetable writing but they don't know yet if they want help after that to implement the rooming and staffing. So we put that as optional on a separate line. Reading around the forum, it sounds like something similar MAY exist in Xero Practice Manager (although not quite right), but that is not an optional add on for us when we go to our account.

Yes this is needed. We request based of the quote an upfront payment to schedule, then progress payments so this would assist in reconciling against the quote.

Option for customer to accept only selected lines. We quote customers for consumables for their equipment. Many times they will send us a Purchase Order based on the quote for only a few things on the quote. It would be useful to be able to Accept All or Accept Selected in which case you could choose the quote lines to be copied to the invoice. This is important to us because when we mark a quote as accepted after looking at the PO it takes time for us to put the order together. This will prevent accidental over supply of items not agreed to.

I agree this feature is needed. So far as a new Xero user, it just feels like the platform creates more work rather than making you more efficient!

It would be great it quotes could have a tick box for the client to accept only some quoted items.
As an interior designer, I present quotes for a number of furniture options and it would be so helpful if the client could tick the boxes for what they do want, rather than only being able to accept the whole quote.
I'd also like the option to save the quote items and aren't accepted and only convert accepted items to an invoice, as sometimes the client will come back and purchase other quoted items at a later time.

Yes this is a need! As sometimes a quote might be partially completed, and only part of it is due for invoicing - but the remainder needs to stay put, ready for the job completion.

It would be great if when a customer receives a quote, it were possible for them to select which items they wanted from the quote and to deselect the ones they didn't want.

This is why I signed on for accounting software, thinking I'd be able to keep track of the progress invoices against a quote. Surprised it's not a feature.

Would love the Xero projects quote functionality to be available in Xero Quotes/Invoicing

We did have purchase order in bulk of goods or service and supplier will sent us by few time of delivery goods or service. And it happen to Quote to sales invoice too. There is no possible to show percentage of PO/quote balance after partial convert only, So we have a problem to control how much/how much of percentage of work amount we havent invoice from Quote and how much/how much of percentage of work amount havent received goods and service from supplier from PO.

We have many client base on project base billing need to trace to quotation and purchase order how percentage biling in accounting. Some of them feel trouble might switch to other accounting software and we as a outsource of their bookeeper we also feel disappointed on this Xero lack of this useful function, we lose thier job as well.

If Xero can done it will attract more client switch to XEro

I have provided a quote and now need to charge my client a 50% deposit invoice, this is a standard way of doing business, how is this not already a standard feature in Xero?
