Link to Invoices on Custom Statements

Xero recently added a link to Invoices on the Standard Statement. Thank you! However, this is only helpful if you're using the Standard statement. We would like to be able to add the Invoice link on Custom statements as well.

Hi everyone, we thank you for your contributions and valuable feedback through this idea.

We've now released a new Invoice Template editor that'll eventually replace the older standard branding. This is a feature we're continuing to develop, and intend to expand to other document types in time (including statements).

Our product team are already starting to look into support for statements in the new editor and plans are to use the Long Reference as I know some of the feedback here has requested.

Being upfront here, we don't have any plans to enhance docx templates to enable adding the invoice links, however we plan to support majority of our customers needs in customising documents with the new editor long term.

    Due to the limitations with the standard statement (particularly the "reference" column width) it really would be helpful to have this feature available in custom statements.

    The standard statement layout is able to provide links to the invoices due however, this really needs to be implemented or have a custom field map for the custom templates - automatically generated links to invoices

    Considering how bad the standard statement layout is, it is not good enough that it can't be put into a custom statement. Surely this is not hard, just Xero providing the custom field code?!

    +1 to custom statements being able to have links to invoices. default statement template does not meet our needs (column width and long9sh reference numbers)

    It would also be helpful to be able to make more than one change and an easier process as well. the process to investigate how to edit a template was extremely time consuming and to then realise at the end that there is no way to actually implement the change I want and keep settings already there as well.

    Very important for larger clients who have multiple invoices for different client bases.

    Add the newly released update to standard statement templates, being automatically generated links to invoices, as an option for custom templates.
