Invoice payments - Only offer ACH (not credit card)
I'd like to enable one-click payments from customers when I send them an invoice, but only ACH, not credit card. As it is, if I enable ACH payments via Stripe, the system displays credit card options to the customer. When I try a custom branding theme without the credit card display, Xero will not allow any Stripe payment mechanism.
Hi team, returning to the idea here we'd like to provide an update.
It's possible to set up your payment method so customers can only pay by ACH.
From an invoice, select 'Manage' on the Online payment methods. Within the Manage screen you'll be able to toggle credit card off and leave ACH on.
At checkout your customer will only see the ACH payment option and not card.
You can also turn card off in your payment settings if you never want to offer this option. 🙂

Same applies for individual payments by EFT. We don't want to add a CC charge, so we usually manage payments by only allowing EFT - no CC. If this is chosen, the credit card payment info should NOT be on the invoice. - only bank account details As a get around, I have entered a comment "if enabled" under the CC details, but Xero should be smart enough to sort this out.

2/ I am now considering only accepting payments via paper check to avoid the immense fees, which feels as if I am going back to the Dark Ages.

Roland, thank you for making this request. The Stripe fees for credit cards are exponentially higher than those for ACH through Stripe. I have turned off the Card by Stripe option and the credit card link still appears on my invoices (see attached).
