Invoices - Adjust margin and header spacing controls within Standard invoice templates
Move the entire template up so the "Bill To", Logo and "Company Info are on the same rows.
There is too much wasted space up top and could be used for more line items
Or
Add an option to crunch the line items with none, single or double line spacing between each item listed.
Thanks for raising this, Kirk. We understand that having more control over invoice layouts can help keep customer-facing documents looking clean and professional.
The suggestion is to add margin and spacing controls to Standard invoice templates, making it easier to adjust the layout to align the logo with address and company information.
For now, Advanced DOCX templates can be used when you need more flexibility over formatting. We’ve moved this idea along to continue tracking interest.

The reason we’re fighting for every pixel at the top of our invoices is that Xero’s Advanced Template parser is locked into OOXML AppVersion 12 (Office 2007). Modern Word spacing and margin logic are literally ignored by Xero's legacy engine. If Xero updated the parser to modern v16 standards, these layout issues would disappear. I’ve posted a full technical audit on how to fix the underlying engine here: https://productideas.xero.com/forums/967115-invoices-quotes/suggestions/51245914-modernize-advanced-templates-full-support-for-mod
