statments
I would like to be able to select a covering statement email as the red box with overdue payments is really annoying our scholars. They see this and think it is the amount they owe. Most of our scholars pay in small instalments this is highly confusing for them. If we had a choice of an alternative template it would be really useful. I have written to support and there is not currently an option for this. Their reply is below for you info.
I understand the issue is with the red box showing overdue amounts in the covering email when you send statements to your scholars, rather than the statement itself.
Unfortunately, the format of the covering email that accompanies customer statements, including the red box displaying overdue amounts, is part of Xero's standard design and can't be customised or removed. This applies to all statement emails sent from Xero.
The red box is designed to give recipients a quick summary of their account status, but I understand this isn't working well for your situation where scholars make payments in instalments.
As a workaround, you could consider downloading the statement and sending it separately through your own email system, which would give you full control over the email message and format. To do this, you can view the statement in Xero and then print or export it as a PDF to send via your own email.
I understand this creates extra work for you, and I recognise this isn't an ideal solution for your workflow, so I’ve included a link to Xero Product Ideas. This is where you can search for similar ideas, support any that match what you’re looking for, or create a new idea to let us know you’d like this feature. Our team reviews ideas and updates the page as there’s news to share.
Thanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Ideas. We appreciate you taking time to let us know how we could improve Xero for you.
Your feedback will soon be reviewed by our Community team, and in the meantime this can begin to build support with votes from other community members.
