Invoice Layout - Customise position and alignment of invoice fields
I would like to provide some feedback on the new invoice format that was recently automatically applied to my account.
While I think the ability to see the invoice due date prominently at the top is a great improvement, it does come across as quite aggressive and I find the relocation of the Issue Date, Invoice Number and Reference fields from the top-right corner to be a significant step backwards.
It needs to be noted as well, that the position of the Invoice number now changes, depending on the length of information in the 'Reference' field. It is super annoying.
When large volumes of invoices are issued, these fields are particularly helpful for quick identification and sorting of hard copies. With the new layout, it is now considerably more difficult to quickly “flick through” a stack of invoices to locate a particular one.
Please consider reverting these fields to their previous position, or alternatively, providing users with the ability to customise the location of these fields on their invoices.
I appreciate that invoice formats evolve, but this particular change has made an important day-to-day task unnecessarily difficult.

Appreciate you raising this suggestion, Jennifer. Being able to control where key fields appear on an invoice could make it easier to work with high volumes of invoices.
For now, Custom DOCX Invoice Templates may provide an option to adjust the positioning of fields.
