  1. We would like the ability to preview the Credit Note BEFORE saving it as a Draft.

    Currently, the only option to preview a Credit Note is to save it as a Draft and then use the "Print PDF" option to open a preview.

    Instead, we would like an option where we're able to view a preview when creating the Credit Note.

    Purpose: To be review the Credit Note for mistakes before officially saving it.

  2. Move add payment popup window so not to cover reference numbers

  3. Purpose : Starting september 2026 or 2027 dependng on the size of business, all the invoices for French companies should respect the new legislation for e-invoicing.

    Is Xero planning to be accredited by French admin as a registered software ? (https://www.impots.gouv.fr/liste-des-plateformes-de-dematerialisation-partenaires-pdp-immatriculees-sous-reserve)

    It would be very helpful for all the companies doing business in France.

    Hi everyone, great to see interest building around support for French e-invoicing. As France moves towards new digital invoicing requirements, it's understandable that you'd want a smoother way to manage this in Xero.

    At this stage, Xero’s e-invoicing features are available in AU, NZ, UK, SG, and MY. While expansion to more regions is something we’re actively looking into, this particular request is still in the early stages.

    The idea’s now in Gaining Support. If this would help simplify things for your business, adding your vote or sharing your opinions would help us get a clearer picture of the demand.

    We’ll post updates here as soon as there’s more to share.

  4. When invoicing, it would be useful to have an “Approve, Email, and View Next” button. This feature would streamline the process of reviewing and sending multiple invoices, especially when handling large batches.

  5. Invoice payments
    Can we have a function in invoicing to record a payment the same as the new 'eye' function on bills (screenshot attached)? Would make life a lot easier as adding multiple payments to an invoice currently involves way too many clicks!

  6. A problem I have each month is when preparing sales invoices - I use several branding themes, one of which is for the AdFin integration.

    It would be ideal to be able to see on the invoice list (in Sales > Invoices) which theme was attached to each invoice, it would be further beneficial to be able to select a bunch of invoices and bulk change the theme where required.

  8. PREVENTING INVENTORY UNIT AMOUNTS FROM BEING EDITED IN INVOICES.
    ON A COUPLE OF OCCASIONS NOW I HAVE ACCIDENTALLY TABBED TO THE AMOUNT COLUMN AND ENTERED A QTY. WHICH HAS OVERWRITTEN AN ITEM AMOUNT FOR THAT INVOICE - AS I HAVE MANY SIMILAR INVENTORY ITEMS FOR A CUSTOMER I OFTEN USE " LOAD LAST ITEMS " THAT HAS CAUSED ME MULTIPLE INCORRECT INVOICES AS IT LOADS THE EDITED PRICE NOT THE STD ITEM PRICE LOOSING ME $100s OF DOLLARS THAT HAVE BEEN PAST PAID. CANT SEE A WAY OF MAKING THE INCOICE AMOUNT COLUMN UN EDITABLE -

  9. When on pretty much any view, sometimes you just need to copy an invoice number (or a few).

    Now, when you click on a line, it goes to the invoice.

    Please give an option to disable the click to go to invoice/credit/bill, and allow us to click on a line to highlight/copy as right now it gets annoying - you have to click, but then press escape quickly enough, or, download as a CSV which just takes too long.

    I've checked the Invoices and Bills pages, and see much the same sort of behaviour. For example, when trying to highlight an invoice number in the Number column, or the Reference column for Bills, it tends to take you into the transaction.

  10. Under the old invoicing, when an invoice was emailed to a client for the first time, the email address used for that first invoice automatically populated the Contact card's email address at the time the invoice was sent.
    This meant that if the invoice was unpaid, the reminder would be able to go to the same person who received the invoice.
    However the new invoicing doesn't automatically populate the Contact's email address.
    This means an extra step is needed to ensure the Contact card is updated.
    If this step isn't taken, then the automated reminders don't go out.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adding your vote to this idea! We totally get how important it is to keep your customer contact info accurate and up to date. An automatic update feature through invoicing sounds like a great way to save you some valuable time.

    Right now, if you send an invoice to an email that’s not already linked to a contact, you’ll need to add that email manually in Xero. The current setup is designed to be flexible so you can send invoices to multiple emails without changing the contact record. But we can definitely see how this feature would speed things up for you.

  11. Customers often ask for a copy of an older invoice that's been paid. When either resending or downloading it, Xero creates a new PDF that shows the invoice as paid with a 0.00 balance.

    I should be able to send an exact copy of the original that clearly states it is a copy. In fact, HMRC states that a request for another copy of a VAT invoice SHOULD be as per the original and state that it's a duplicate.

  12. We do very detailed quotations that are done from our quote / costing sheets. These are then sent as a PDF to clients. It would be really helpful if these PDF could be uploaded like a bill to Xero quotes and invoices.

  13. Ability to add CC/BCC on every outgoing Statement Of Accounts to customers.
    Purpose: Internal colleagues or stakeholders allows for a clear record of who received the statement and the context of the communication.

    We understand how valuable it'd be to have the option to CC or BCC internal staff and key stakeholders when emailing Statements of Account. You’ve highlighted how this feature would streamline internal communication, support better record-keeping, and make it easier to respond to client queries.

    At the moment, while CC/BCC is available when sending individual invoices, this functionality isn’t yet available for Statements of Account, which means relying on manual workarounds.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. If this feature would help you, please vote and share your thoughts to help us prioritise it. The more support it gets, the faster we can work on making it happen!

  14. The current “Add Payment” workflow in invoices is inefficient for keyboard users. While manual entry of payment dates has been improved, the account selection still forces users to use the mouse, which breaks the flow.
    We need a smoother, full keyboard-navigable process when adding a payment to an invoice:
    1.Enter date manually (already possible )
    2.Press Tab to move to the Account field
    3.Type the account number directly
    4. Press Tab or Enter to confirm selection without needing to click the search bar or manually select the account with a mouse

  15. The pop up boxes, creating a new item for example, should be able to be moved so that the underlying page can be seen. This is standard on most of the software that I use so it should be so on Xero.

  16. On the awaiting approval invoice page can we get more details for each customer, like any overdue amount and any credit they have in their account. Currently you cannot apply a credit unless you open the invoice. This will save time and errors.

  17. Ability to link a bill/expense to a customers invoice but not have it itemise. So you can track cost of goods per job especially for small businesses only utilizing invoicing and not having to do projects

    Hi Phil, it'd be good to get a bit more detail to better understand your needs from what is currently available with billable expenses.

    Right now, you can assign lines of a bill directly to a customer (rather than project). When you add the items to your customers invoice you can edit the remove the item code if you don't want it directly associated to the inventory item.

    Would it be more something like the idea here that you're after with more visibility of the linkage between the invoice and bill?

  18. When posting a payment /receipt against an "already entered" Bill or Invoice, it would be good to be able to do this from the Dashboard. This link could be added to the "+" on the Dashboard and could take you to a search facility to search for the Bill or Invoice. This would also save time having to search under Bills to Pay and Invoices awaiting payment.

  20. Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".

    Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.
