When sending invoices from Xero if there is a delay in the sending of invoices instead of leaving them in the queue as unsent it would be better for them to be moved to a "outbox" or "pending send" so that you can continue to send invoices, or be aware they aren't going to be sent straight away.

e-invoicing multiple invoices
I would very much like to start using e-invoicing to send my invoices to clients. However, I bulk invoice (check in Draft / Approve / and then bulk email). So until it's possible to determine who can receive e-invoices, and to do that in a bulk action, I will need to stick with the old way. Sending 100s of invoices on one day of the month, it's just too slow to have to email them individually.

Invoice - Ability to rearrange invoice columns
When using the invoicing system in Xero, there is no ability to move columns around. It would make my workflow much easier if I could enter quantity first, followed by product code, as this matches the standard ordering format in our industry. When customers place orders, they typically specify the quantity first and then the product size or code.
In our previous system, we were able to click and drag columns into any order (similar to how line items can currently be rearranged in Xero). However, with the current fixed column layout in Xero, I often find myself writing phone…

We understand why having the ability to customise invoice column order could make invoicing workflows easier, especially for teams that process a lot of invoices or follow a specific data entry process.
This idea is suggesting the ability to rearrange invoice columns directly within the invoice screen, allowing businesses to set up the layout in a way that better suits their workflow.

Invoice - Support macron character for Māori words
Kia ora,
I live and operate in New Zealand, where Xero was first created. With living in New Zealand, we use a lot of Māori words in our everyday lives.
That said, I just created a quote for an upcoming photoshoot which is going to be held in a town in the Bay of Plenty called Ōmokoroa. But fortunately, the marcon that appears above the Ō turns into an L when the quote is exported. Can you please let the development team know about this issue please?

Sales overview - Disable going to an invoice when you click on a line
When on pretty much any view, sometimes you just need to copy an invoice number (or a few).
Now, when you click on a line, it goes to the invoice.
Please give an option to disable the click to go to invoice/credit/bill, and allow us to click on a line to highlight/copy as right now it gets annoying - you have to click, but then press escape quickly enough, or, download as a CSV which just takes too long.

I've checked the Invoices and Bills pages, and see much the same sort of behaviour. For example, when trying to highlight an invoice number in the Number column, or the Reference column for Bills, it tends to take you into the transaction.

Invoice - Ability to print packing list while in Draft
Be able to print packing slips BEFORE approving the invoice. You are able to print "draft invoice" before approving so would be handy to be able to do packing slips too. We have to send customers PLs before they agree to taking the goods so we have to copy, paste, print & scan it to send to them.

Quotes - Ability to highlight or bold text in lines

Can you please add the option to highlight text or bold text in line items on the quotes page. We often have multiple people working on/adding to a quote, which is sometimes built over several weeks or even months. It would be great to be able flag another staff members attention to an item or a note left in the line item by highlighting or changing text to bold.1 voteAppreciate your suggestion, Claire. Quotes - Increase font size for line item grid
Please change the font size back to the larger size in the quoting & invoicing where the line item entry section on the quote/invoice edit screen, where the Description, Qty and Amount fields appear smaller than the other fields at the top of the page.
The larger size the same as the reference/date fields was much better.

Having adjustable text sizing could help improve readability and make it more comfortable to work through longer lists of items.

Invoice reminder - Reply to Email Default to Logged In User
Currently when invoice reminders is turned on by the client, the default address is for the reply to emails seems to be the Subscriber's email. Would be good if it was the email of the logged in user by default.

Contacts - Ability to turn off initial icon
Can you please get rid of that annoying image that appears when I'm typing in a new contact on a sales invoice. As I'm typing the image is flashing away on each keystroke and giving me a headache!

Backdated payment warning - Ability to turn warning on or off
Ability to turn off / toggle the warning for
"The invoice was raised after the payment you are reconciling to"
Alot of my invoices are dated after the payment date for whatever reason. It would be create to have a choice whether to receive this warning or not.

Invoicing - Add Expected Invoice Payment Date within Invoice
Can no longer add an expected payment date when viewing an invoice, you now have to go to the 'awaiting payment' section of invoices. Meaning more steps involved and lost functionality.

Invoices - Make invoice links available from invoice list
Quickly get invoice links from invoice list (instead of going into every individual invoice) to share in separate CRM so team can easily follow up outstanding invoices.

Contacts | Email Address - Notify if a contact does not have an email address
We had a NEW customer that was added with no email address. This meant than when the invoice reminder email was meant to be sent the email didn't go. The system should alert you this field is empty as a lot of Xero communication is done through email.
The only way I noticed this was in the Sales > Invoices > Awaiting Payment list there was a small 'Email missing' message.
Would be better if this was in red letters to draw attention as there is currently no manual way to re-send the email that didn't go. (I have made…

Invoicing - Add ‘Clear All Quantities’ Option when copying
When copying an invoice, users can now edit the copied version, and all information from the original invoice automatically carries over. To make this process more efficient, it would be helpful to add a “Clear All” button for the quantity column. This would allow users to reset all quantities at once instead of having to manually change each line item to zero before entering new quantities.

At this stage, we don’t have a confirmed timeline or feature announcement to share for that specific functionality. What I can confirm is that this has now been moved to gaining support.
While it isn’t a confirmation that the feature will be developed, it does help show there is customer demand for it.
For now, quantities would still need to be adjusted manually after copying, but we do appreciate you taking the time to raise this

Sales Invoices | Awaiting Payment List - Show contact Email in the column
We import our data for invoicing and only the customer name/contact is in the file. When emailing out the invoices after import, we use the "Awaiting Payment" screen but unable to see if there any new customers so we have to review the "Statements" tab beforehand. This will save time and effiencies within our company.
Perhaps, the screen columns we are all wanting could be added but with a X box so columns could be hidden if not needed, therefore collating a few thoughts at once ?

Invoicing - Insurance / Surcharge Line at Bottom of Invoice

Allow users to add a dedicated surcharge (e.g. insurance, card fee, handling) that appears as a distinct line below the subtotal on invoices, rather than as a regular line item.
