  1. We need the desktop app to support a bill approval workflow. Ideally, I’d be able to submit an invoice for approval, with it then routing automatically to different approvers depending on the nominal code. Once approved, it should post straight through to the ledger.

  2. Ability to send e-invoices to Europe (in Euro via Peppol).

    This rolls up many other product ideas about sending e-invoices to European countries e.g. Spain, Germany, France, Belgium.

    All that is required is an update to the Contact form (which currently just has ABN) to include a field for the Peppol Participant ID. For example, OpenPeppol (AISBL) itself has a Belgian ID of "0208:0848934496" (ISO6523-country-code:country-company-number).

  3. Please change the font size back to the larger size in the quoting & invoicing where the line item entry section on the quote/invoice edit screen, where the Description, Qty and Amount fields appear smaller than the other fields at the top of the page.

    The larger size the same as the reference/date fields was much better.

  4. Hi all. We have recently come over the Xero from Attache.
    Several hundred times per month in Attache, we used the product look up option for individual products sold on Invoices and the same for individual products on Purchase orders however xero currently does not offer this as outlined below.
    By putting in a code into the search area for invoices and P/O, we would like the option to search for that item, then click on the product that is identified as the one we want to look up, and bring up the invoice or purchase order the product is…

  5. Please add a tab in the invoices category for "Paid Awaiting Pickup".

    Right now under invoices there is a tab for "All", "Draft", "Awaiting Approval", "Awaiting Payment", "Paid" and "Repeating". Our business often has invoiced paid but the customers have not picked up their products. When they come in we have to search to see if what they are picking up has been paid for. A tab for "PAID AWAITING PICKUP" would really help.

  6. Attached preview window to stay in locked screen on the Left, with line items to be on the right on a scroll screen. Because if you add attachments to work from, the screen will be ready to view from the top left and if you have more than 20-line items inputted and you're working from the bottom. You can't see what the attachment is to work from. Look at pictures to see the mark up of issue. This issue is same as the bills. The bills attachment is on its on screen, but you can move it where you want…

  7. Currently when invoice reminders is turned on by the client, the default address is for the reply to emails seems to be the Subscriber's email. Would be good if it was the email of the logged in user by default.

  8. We currently have 3 different Xero accounts for different regional entities, but all payments need to flow through one Stripe account.

    At the moment you have to have an individual Stripe account for each Xero entity/account. It doesn't say this anywhere and when I tried to connect the account to a second Xero entity it began creating new Stripe accounts that I then had to delete.

    Being able to connect ONE Stripe account to all Xero accounts would be a huge help.

  9. Until recently when I saved a packing slip the default name was eg 'Packing Slip Inv - 4080'.

    Then recently after you dated your system the packing slips are now called eg 'Invoice Packing Slip Inv - 4080'.

    Can you change it back to remove the word invoice as it can cause confusion and staff may send the wrong document to suppliers and customers as both look like invoices.

    I am changing the name manually but it was simpler and clearer before Xero added the word 'invoice'

    If you can change it back that would be great and I'm sure…

  10. In the Classic Invoicing, we could set a negative item amount which was useful to make it clear to clients that we had refunded something. It also corrected the stock levels in the inventory. In new Invoicing, you can set a negative financial amount but you are not allowed negative quantities, as such it is not clear and it messes up the stock inventory levels. You can do it via credit notes but this requires more things to be issued to clients etc.

  11. End-to-end workflow: Quote → Invoice → Purchase Order → Bills

    I would like to see a more connected workflow in Xero that reflects how projects are actually delivered in practice.

    Currently, quotes can be converted to invoices, but there is no ability to move from a quote into a purchase order. This creates a disconnect between customer-facing and supplier-facing processes.

    A typical workflow for project-based businesses (e.g. construction, interiors, supply) is:

    Quote issued to client
    Quote accepted
    Invoice raised to client
    Purchase orders raised to suppliers based on the quote
    Supplier bills received
    Further invoices raised to client as required…

    Hi Jadé, when you say sales representative can I just check how is this information currently being entered in Xero? For example have you set up a tracking category to track the sales representative, or would you be wanting this information from the user that created the invoice? Will be helpful when sharing your feedback with the team.

  13. Allow billable expenses to automatically carry over attached supplier invoices/receipts from the original bill to the customer invoice.

    This would reduce duplication, save time, and minimise follow-ups by ensuring reimbursement invoices already include supporting documentation.

  14. Most of our customers prefer receiving invoices via SMS. When trying to print the invoice via the SMS link, it generates a 2-3 page online version of the invoice. Can you implement a "Print pdf" option that would generate the same concise layout used when previewing the invoice in Xero? Thank you!

    Great to get this sort of insight, Kelly. Thanks for sharing. We'd like to get a sense of the wider interest for being able to print PDF from the SMS invoice message, please feel free to share with any colleagues or customers that you know would find this useful so they can vote on this too.

  15. I would like to be able to 'print' or 'save' a pdf invoice to a folder of my choosing rather than to the default 'downloads'
    Currently ALL downloaded items from the internet are placed in 'downloads' so I need to move the invoice pdf to my chosen folder. It would be a excellent time saver if I could choose my own folder to save to, and have it use this chosen folder each time.

    I believe it is a software bug to rely on the default settings of the users browser to determine where files are saved to.

  16. There is multiple quotes that i want to search by "CITY", but it seems that it is not possible.

  17. I would like to suggest adding functionality to better support zero-decimal currencies (such as JPY, KRW, IDR) within Xero. Currently, the system assumes two decimal places for most currencies, which can lead to rounding issues and inaccuracies for currencies that do not use decimals.

    Key points to consider:

    Currency Settings: Allow users to define certain currencies as zero-decimal so that calculations and display formats automatically adjust.
    Tax and Rounding Logic: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations by applying correct rounding rules for zero-decimal currencies.
    Reporting and API: Update reports and API outputs to handle zero-decimal currencies consistently, avoiding integration errors.

  18. Ability to add CC/BCC on every outgoing Statement Of Accounts to customers.
    Purpose: Internal colleagues or stakeholders allows for a clear record of who received the statement and the context of the communication.
    It enables easier response and ensures everyone involved is aware of the situation.

    We understand how valuable it'd be to have the option to CC or BCC internal staff and key stakeholders when emailing Statements of Account. You’ve highlighted how this feature would streamline internal communication, support better record-keeping, and make it easier to respond to client queries.

    At the moment, while CC/BCC is available when sending individual invoices, this functionality isn’t yet available for Statements of Account, which means relying on manual workarounds.

    This idea is now in the Gaining Support stage. If this feature would help you, please vote and share your thoughts to help us prioritise it. The more support it gets, the faster we can work on making it happen!

  19. Ability to link a bill/expense to a customers invoice but not have it itemise. So you can track cost of goods per job especially for small businesses only utilizing invoicing and not having to do projects

    Hi Phil, it'd be good to get a bit more detail to better understand your needs from what is currently available with billable expenses.

    Right now, you can assign lines of a bill directly to a customer (rather than project). When you add the items to your customers invoice you can edit the remove the item code if you don't want it directly associated to the inventory item.

    Would it be more something like the idea here that you're after with more visibility of the linkage between the invoice and bill?

  20. Quickly get invoice links from invoice list (instead of going into every individual invoice) to share in separate CRM so team can easily follow up outstanding invoices.
