Expenses - Ability to import expense claims
This is basic, if you want people to move to XERO make it easy to import data from existing systems. I have a huge amount of expenses to get into XERO and you can't use Bills because that is limited to 5 Bills per month!
I pay for expenses so if the work around is use Bills import then remove the 5 Bill/m limit.

Problem: Organizations processing bulk expenses are forced to manually enter each receipt into Xero Expenses one-by-one, creating significant administrative burden and delaying reimbursements. With the introduction of the new Expenses module, the public API is not deprecated and imported receipts are not shown anywhere within the current UI.
Solution: Add CSV import capability to Xero Expenses, allowing batch upload of receipts with automatic data extraction and validation.
Impact:
Reduce expense processing time by 85%
Decrease data entry errors by 70%
Improve employee satisfaction through faster reimbursements
Strengthen Xero's competitive position against emerging expense management platformsI can send you the complete pitch on request - thank you.

Now they have changed the expenses model it is even more cumbersome to create expense items and manage expenses. And also the old Both Receipts and ExpenseClaims endpoints are marked as DEPRECATED in Xero's API documentation. Xero has moved to Xero Expenses as a product (add-on module), but there doesn't appear to be a new public API specifically for "Xero Expenses"

Maybe slightly different situation than OP, but really would be an advantage to be be able to import a large group of travel expenses, especially for those that are below the receipt threshold.
