AU Payroll - Long Service Leave report to show start date
It would assist us if the Leave Accrued Report could also show the employee's start date. Long Service Leave is only applicable to staff from the 5 or 10 year mark for us in NSW but to ascertain whether staff are eligible for it is requiring external spreadsheets that have to be manually adjusted each month. Xero already has the functionality to enable this so it can't be hard to action.
Thanks for your patience, it’s been a little while since you raised this idea, so we wanted to check in. We've now reviewed this idea and have moved it to Gaining Support status. Our product team are keeping an eye on this idea and we will continue to share updates as things evolve.

To calculate long service leave entitlements for casual and part time employees or employees that have had a mix of employment types, it is necessary to know how many ordinary time hours an employee has worked. This information can be extracted from the Payroll Activity Summary report although it requires the report to be exported to Excel and the data manipulated, which is extremely time consuming doing each employee one at a time. A simple report that shows the number of ordinary hours worked in a set period of time, filtered by employee would make it much easier for small business to comply with long service leave legislation.

Casual employees who provide a services are paid a percentage based on their individual takings. Would be good if xero could incorporate this into paying LSL - Long service leave. If xero could so all working that are needed to come up with the hourly rate that is paid as all employees get a set hourly LSL amount of hours added every pay but the casual employee paid percentage work all different amt of hours and all different fees

Please improve payroll reporting for calculating provision for LSL at EOM/EOFY. Currently we have to merge multiple reports in excel. The report should include options such as employee's number of years, hourly rate/salary, and balance of LSL at a specific date (EOM)...
(option to select a different number of years as each organisation's accounting treatment for LSL may differ 1st yr, 3rd yr, 7th yr) Thanks
