Amend the Dashboard for Expenses and recent invoice payments to reflect recent payments
Both the expenses tile and recent invoice payment tiles show an overstated liability.
The attached screenshot (20080236) shows an invoice which has been part paid and only has a balance to pay of £500, yet the full amount of the invoice is displayed.
It also shows (20081413) an expenses claim which has had £200 paid and again the full amount is showing as being due.Not sure if I have duplicated this issue so would be grateful if you could check - thank you
1 voteHi there, thanks for reaching out! I've looked into this for you.
The Dashboard tiles are currently designed to show the total invoice amount for any item that remains "Awaiting Payment."
However, I can see how seeing the remaining balance would be more helpful for your quick-glance liability.
Because you can already view accurate, remaining balances by clicking into Business > Invoices or Bills to pay, I’ve classified this as Existing Functionality.
That said, I will share your feedback with the design team regarding how partial payments are represented on the main Dashboard summary.

Allow user access to Sales and Purchases only without having to have standard access
This will be beneficial where staff need to access sales for invoicing and purchases for bills but employers dont want them to have access to bank or other areas. Currently you can have Purchases OR Sales, but you can't have both.
1 voteHi Chrissy! Did you know it's already possible to do this in Xero?
You can give a user the Invoice only Approve and Pay (sales and purchases). An invoice only user with the approve and pay (sales and purchase) permission has access to invoices, bills, credit notes, quotes and purchase orders. You can see more about this here.😊

Xero HQ - Ability for practice staff to create client groups
Some of our practice staff have permissions to create clients and also were ableto create client groups for the new client to be added to. With the new Xero Centralisation, those staff can no longer create client groups, or add clients to a group. To allow this we would have to increase their permissions to Practice Administrator. This new required level of access is over the top, just to allow someone to create a client group.
1 voteHi! Following feedback from our partners, it is now possible for standard users to edit, create, and delete groups in the new partner experience. Thanks for sharing your idea, and letting us know the changes that matter most for you.

Navigation - Restore Organisation Name
Expand the field to the right of Xero (top left) to show more than 2 letters for the active organisation.
In the Home view, I can see the company name (below Xero), but not in other views.
It would be so much clearer!1 voteHi Karen, thanks for sharing your feedback about this.
How the organisation's name (or it's initials) are displayed, will change depending on how 'zoomed in' your screen is.
for example, if you ensure your browser is maximised to take the full width of your screen, this will usually do the trick. Otherwise, you can usually zoom the screen out a little (on a PC, hold the Ctrl key and scroll the mouse up and down to experiment with this).
If you need an extra hand with this, you can raise a case with our Xero Support specialists, who'll be happy to check it out with you. 😊
