Allow Sales & Purchases Users to Export Aged Receivables and Aged Payables Reports
Xero has recently improved user permissions so that users with the Sales & Purchases – reports for sales & purchases role can access Aged Receivables and Aged Payables reports without also being given access to all financial reports.
This is a very welcome improvement, particularly for administration staff who need access to debtor and creditor information as part of their day-to-day roles, but who should not have access to sensitive reports such as the Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet or bank account information.
Unfortunately, these users can currently view and run the Aged Receivables and Aged Payables reports but cannot export them to Excel or PDF.
This significantly limits the usefulness of the new reporting permission. Administration staff regularly need to export these reports to review, distribute, annotate or work with the information. Printing or screen printing is not a practical workaround, as columns and rows can be cut off.
If a user has permission to view the information contained in an Aged Receivables or Aged Payables report, they should also be able to export that same information.
Please extend the Sales & Purchases reporting permissions to allow users to export Aged Receivables and Aged Payables reports to Excel and PDF, without requiring them to be given broader access to confidential financial reporting.
