Workpapers - Ability to edit Internal queries

Ability to edit review point, internal query and client query responses.

Currently once you click reply to an Internal Query or review point or client query in workpapers there is no option to edit. This is frustrating if you make a spelling error or accidentally respond to the wrong query. It would be great to have the ability to be able to edit these responses if necessary.

We appreciate the interest and attention around this idea, team. As you might've heard, at Xerocon we announced our new Xero Workpapers.

Taking on board feedback from our community to develop this, new Workpapers provides the ability to edit internal queries in Workpapers. We're excited for you to try this new experience and have just begun rollout to Australian partners, with other regions soon to come in 2026. Thanks for sharing how this feature could benefit your practice. We'll return to share once rolled out to 100%.

    Thanks Davina,

    We're pleased to hear this recommended improvement to Xero Workpapers has now been actioned. It's been a long time coming in order to assist with annual compliance work for the majority of clients.

    Make Secondary review points editable and able to be deleted as can the Primary review points. It's an obvious and frustrating omission for Users of Xero Workpapers.
