User Access - Option to provide practice access when inviting a practice staff
Where clients are subscribers to their own Xero but add an adviser who is linked to a Xero partner practice, it would be useful if there was an option for them to choose to give the practice as a whole access so that if, eg, their contact leaves, the practice administrator can give access to their new contact as long as they are Partner Staff.
Hi team, we hope you are liking the new staff and client experience for managing your practice, with Xero Partner Hub beginning to rollout to practices over the coming months.
To provide an update on the desire for being able to provide a practice access when a practice staff is invited into a clients org - this is something our teams are currently exploring. While we can't make commitments as yet, we will keep you updated of any development for this through this idea. Thanks

User Roles for Xero Partners. Currently businesses have to invite multiple users from the same partner accounting firm. I would like to see user functionality where the firm itself is invited as 1 user. This user type would default to an Advisor type access, however only the subscriber can still select what modules their Accountant would have. From the Accountants point of view the firms 'master' user would have the authority to add and remove their staff members only (i.e. cannot edit, add or delete any external user). The 'master' user only has the authority to grant the same modular access as the 'master' user has been granted by the subscriber. The accounting firm's staff users should not be visible on the main user menu. If the subscriber edits or revokes the accounting firms 'master' user, then that carries through and also affects staff users. When looking at the audit history, non-accounting staff users should only see that the transaction was edited by the accounting firm, however the accounting firms' users should see the actual user history of changes.
