  1. Ability to amend or remove some of the system data fields such as 'Year end date'. Not all clients need a year end date (for example if they have just signed up for some consulting work). We have successfully used 'custom fields' to tailor XPM to match our client database needs and it would be great to also have control over some of the custom fields to remove as we don't need all of them.

  3. Does Xero have any plans to incorporate 'Xero Tax' in the trial version? I can see that there are a number of videos on Xero Tax on Xero Central. If it was incorporated in the trial version- it would provide students with hands-on experience as opposed to just watching videos or reading texts.

    As Xero is now being used by many accounting firms, Tax professionals who are currently working in other platforms such as Sage Handisoft or MYOB don't know how Xero tax works. When they are trying to change companies- it would provide them an advantage if they are…

  4. Current: Signatory name and email address for Document Packs are manually typed in (once per pack).

    Issue: Manual input is repetitive, error prone, and requires switching tabs.

    Request: These details usually exist in Xero HQ already, so I'd like to be able to select my signatory from this list.

    Potential future features enabled by this:
    When a signatory is selected this way, other signatories could be pre-populated in the one-click right-bar based on whether they've been in the same group of signatories in a previous Document Pack.
    History of Document Packs attributed to each Xero HQ record.

  5. Can you take the option of making reports favourites by marking them with a star and allow us to do the same with orgs so that a Client Manager can favourite the clients in their portfolio rather than having to search for their clients among the clients of the whole practice?

    Thanks for your support on this idea, community. With Xero Partner Hub slowly rolling out to practices over the coming months our product teams are working on many enhancements that will help streamline and efficiently manage your practice.

  6. Instead of having to add users in three places (HQ, Workpapers & Tax), have the ability to add them once and this then flow through to the additional tools in use at the practice

  7. Currently notes need to be updated manually on the financial statements (as far as I am aware). New accounts need to be added to the respective notes otherwise the figure in the notes will not match the figures in the financial statements.
    I feel that this is inviting error as inevitably there will be times where this process is overlooked.

    it would significantly simplify the process if Xero recognises where a note is connected to a financial statement line item, and then automatically fills in the notes with the same accounts grouped in the financials.

  8. Please can you provide a way of detecting when a contact has been deleted in XPM. It's provided on the client list api as IsDeleted for clients, but not for contacts. An IsDeleted prop on the contacts would be very useful. Unless someone knows another way of getting this info?

  10. Ability to identify which Xero files staff members who leave the firm have direct access to the client Xero file as opposed to being granted access from a firm level. This way, before you delete the user from Xero HQ/Blue you can check to see if any clients need to be contacted to update to invite the firm rather than a specific employee.

  11. There is an issue with AIM reports going direct to filed tab and have to be individually moved to archived.

  15. Bulk edit milestones
    I am trying to utilise the Important Dates page in the Job Manager and there is older jobs that are clogging up the page with overdue milestones that no longer apply. How to I remove all of these in a bulk process? There is over 3000 milestones that need to be removed. Currently support has told me there is no way of doing this apart from deleting each milestone on each job one by one.

  16. I have an international client who has just switched to Xero but their main business is in Switzerland (complicated tax rules). Can Xero provide add an add-on to Swiss Xero users to comply with the tax rules there.

  19. When we send out an Activity Statement, a tax return, an fbt return, etc... is it possible to CC another contact? (one that isn't required to e-sign but is required to see the return and payment information and just be kept in the loop in general)

    Hi everyone, we're excited to share a significant update with you all. With the development of a new Xero Workpapers you'll have a new calculator tool (in the form of blank calculation sheets or light spreadsheet functionality), allowing you to perform basic calculations.

    Until you get new Workpapers, the best option is to continue using external spreadsheets to perform your calculations and attach them as supporting documents.

    We're initially rolling out in Australia, and we'll be sure to keep you updated on our progress as we this goes out to other regions.
