  1. Have the ability to set default settings for every new Contact you add to Xero.

    Our default tax will always be Tax Exclusive for example. We should be able to set this as the default to all new contacts added, as well as:

    Default account
    Currency
    Invoice Theme
    Invoices Due Date

    Hello Trang, you can tag multiple documents at once by holding ctrl/cmd on your keyboard. Note that you'll need to create the tag first before you can do this - Read more on our article for more information. 

    Because Hubdoc can't bulk update the documents to be "Mark as paid" right now, I've changed the title of your idea, so we can see the interest from the community here :)

  3. Under the Doc window on the left, default setting should be REVIEW after you logon, as most Uses are not interested in items that have already been processed.

  4. Hubdoc allows you to download all documents in a folder, and Hubdoc also allows you to download to CSV some document metadata. It would be very useful if Hubdoc had the ability to download documents by folder or by Tag, and further, if Hubdoc had the ability to download the Tags associated with a document when downloading the metadata.

  5. From within your contact details or Quote or Invoice - why not have the functionality to communicate to a client via WhatsApp or send the Quote or Invoice via WhatsApp. If you are in the construction industry, acknowledging that not everyone is in construction, the craftsmen you work with only gets to Mail and acceptance of quotes in the evenings. WhatsApp's they respond to easily and quickly ....

  6. In the HubDoc there is a default setting with a checkbox always marked (active) for "save configuration".

    A lot of mistakes are made because old text is saved and reused when it shouldn't.

    It's better if there is no text instead of wrong text.

    Therefore the default should be unchecked (off) for this "save configuration" checkbox because it causes a lot of problems when the wrong text is saved to XERO.

  7. It would be useful if a notification was sent when any document was uploaded. Currently, there are supplier level notifications but when there is something that has been uploaded (jpg, memo, etc) and the system is unable to identify it to a supplier it dumps it to the failed tab which at present does not create any notification.

  8. Extract tax amount from the invoice. This is required for compliance with VAT amount recorded in accounts must match what is on the invoice

    Extracted Amount requires a manual entry of VAT amount. This is misleading as "extracted" suggests the amount has been extracted from the invoice.

    20% on expenses option calculates from the NET AMOUNT or backwards from the GROSS AMOUNT, this is incorrect as the may not match VAT amount on invoice specifically where there are non or zero vat amounts

  9. Ability to push files that’s uploaded in Xero Files to cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Sharepoint).

    Purpose: Users can easily store/keep their files that they’ve uploaded in Xero into their own cloud storage. Especially when they have many documents that exceed the limit of Xero Files.

    Hi team, though we appreciate the use you'd find in being able to connect or send Xero Files to your cloud storage we want to be open that this isn't in our short terms plans.

    We're keen to keep getting an understanding of interest in the capability, and will share if there are any updates or progress of this, here.

  10. I can email my receipts to Xero, when will Xero be integrating the same sort, file, and account application features that Hubdoc has so that I don't have to use Hubdoc at all?

    Hi Amanda and Sandy, I want to let you know that you can upload your document or invoice directly into Xero Files without using Hubdoc, and you can assign it from there - See more on our article

    If you’re looking into publishing the document from Hubdoc to Xero files, you can do it too. And you can read more here

    In saying that, let us know if you’re actually after something else.  

  11. Allow upload of Excel (.xls .xlsx) document.
    Many suppliers supply their invoice in an excel format, Before they can be uploaded into Hubdoc they need to be converted to PDf.

  13. Show the email subject line in Xero files.

    It's simple enough to forward emails with invoices to my xero mailbox, but I don't have control over the filename. It would be great if Xero can show the subject line. That way I could change the subject line when I forward the email. It would look like a note on the invoice in Xero Files.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing and supporting this idea. The file name shown in Xero Files is taken from the name on the attachments. As a workaround these could be renamed before the emails are forwarded to Xero or renamed from within Xero files. 

  14. Hubdoc's integration with Xero can be great when it enables automatic reconciliation of an invoice with accounts in Xero. However, if any portion of an invoice is allocated to an account in Xero that has a 0% tax rate, Publishing to Xero fails with the error message "Validation Err. Line item tax amounts do not total to document tax amount".

    An example of where this occurs is where 50% of a transaction is deemed a business expense, while 50% of the transaction has a private use component, where the private use component is treated as personal drawings, e.g., the business…

  15. Users can scan their invoices via mobile app when they don’t have an internet connection.

    Purpose: To make sure that the invoices/documents didn’t get lost in the Hubdoc app when the internet connection is intermittent.

    Thanks for your input here, everyone. Our team is currently looking into adding a document merge feature into their roadmap. However, no dates are planned for when this will be implemented. 

    That said, we’ll move the status of the idea into ‘Under review’, so please continue to add your vote and give us your comment on how this feature can improve your workflow. 

    For now, you can merge your documents outside Hubdoc, then upload/email it into Hubdoc. Feel free to also share some options here on how you merge the documents before you put it into Hubdoc.
