Hubdoc - Extract tax amount from the invoice
Extract tax amount from the invoice. This is required for compliance with VAT amount recorded in accounts must match what is on the invoice
Extracted Amount requires a manual entry of VAT amount. This is misleading as "extracted" suggests the amount has been extracted from the invoice.
20% on expenses option calculates from the NET AMOUNT or backwards from the GROSS AMOUNT, this is incorrect as the may not match VAT amount on invoice specifically where there are non or zero vat amounts

Currently there is only the facility to post journals between nominal ledger codes.
Many thanks2 votesHi Julie, could you explain a little more the scenarios in which you'd be looking to make use of a this sort of functionality?
At present - if the transactions has originally be assigned to the wrong contact this can be edited.
Understanding more of the use case may help us find another solution for you here, although I don't want to be open that we don't have plans for enabling transfers between contacts.

Contacts | Increase character limit for countries
The ISO 3166 country name for "United Kingdom" is "United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (the)", which is 58 characters. We are currently unable to use this name for our contacts as Xero throws an error (both in the UI and API).
Please consider increasing the country name maximum length to at least 60 characters.

Hubdoc - Enable reconciliation to Xero when allocating to 0% tax account
Hubdoc's integration with Xero can be great when it enables automatic reconciliation of an invoice with accounts in Xero. However, if any portion of an invoice is allocated to an account in Xero that has a 0% tax rate, Publishing to Xero fails with the error message "Validation Err. Line item tax amounts do not total to document tax amount".
An example of where this occurs is where 50% of a transaction is deemed a business expense, while 50% of the transaction has a private use component, where the private use component is treated as personal drawings, e.g., the business…

Contact - Business Number (ABN) verification check
Ability to search details of an ABN against the ABN register, from within Xero.
Purpose: To see if the contact within Xero has valid ABN or not.
67 votesHi everyone, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts on ABN verification. We really appreciate you explaining how this could make it easier to stay compliant and simplify your daily workflows.
Right now, you can use the quick link on the Contacts page in Xero to open the official ABN Lookup site and check details manually. We understand this isn’t the fully integrated solution you’d prefer, but it’s the option currently available for verifying contact information.
Our product team has continued to review this idea, however it’s not something we’re planning in the near future. The idea will stay open for votes, and we’ll keep tracking interest here. If anything changes, we’ll post an update in this thread.

Contact - Notify all users or nominated users when supplier bank account changes.
Ability to have email notification to all users/nominated users when supplier bank account changes.
Purpose: So all people in Xero orgs will immediately know if there’s any unusual activity in supplier bank account detail.
145 votesAppreciate wanting an update from us here, everyone. We know that having more visibility of when a supplier’s bank account details change is important to you and understand that there are some security concerns around this. This is something our product teams are aware of the appetite for, however we want to be upfront that this feature is not planned in the near future.
While not a direct solution to what you’re asking here, it’s worth noting that the ability to change supplier’s bank account details is limited by the bank account admin permission. Advisors will have access to the Assurance dashboard where you’ll be able to get an easy view of any Contacts whose bank account details have been edited, and you can also view this information running the History and Notes report.

Contacts - Different default email addresses for different transactions in Xero
Ability to allocate different transactions to different email addresses.
Purpose: Because it’ll make users’ workflow easier when they’re dealing with the contacts that have different departments.
723 votesHi community, we appreciate your continued feedback on having different default email addresses for various transaction types in Xero contacts, and the manual steps involved to ensure you're communicating with the right person for different purposes.
Currently, one way of managing this in Xero would be to include every additional person on a contact record in emails, and then removing those that aren't required when sending each transaction. However we totally get this isn't the ideal solution.
While being able to set different email addresses for differing transaction types is something we want to address longer term, like the idea for multiple addresses work for this feature requires cross-collaboration between teams in order to achieve.
Once the multiple addresses feature is live this is something we'll be able to consider more closely and provide further updates on.
We do regularly review all ideas here, and your input is vital. We'll…
