  1. Subtotals for Balance Sheet Items
    At the moment I can only get subtotals on the balance sheet by using the grouping function. Rather than doing this it would be great to subtotal certain parts of the Balance Sheet without creating multiple group headings. eg Fixed Asset accounts & the accumulated depreciation for each asset.

  2. Would it be possible to up date the CIS feature to have the reports that are filed through Xero to HMRC be automatically saved into the filed with HMRC section so that you can see the original return that was submitted if you have had to update it. Returns are not saved on HMRC if they are submitted through Xero.

  3. Report Fields
    Would be nice to be able to auto populate the net profit into new reports as older report packs did.

    The older report packs had a net profit before tax / net profit after tax field option how has an "upgrade" to new report lost this feature?

  4. Ability to add KPIs to executive summary report e.g. Purchases/Sales percentage for the hospo industry and wages/sales % - these should be at 30% or lower so it would be great to add these into the executive summary report

  5. Just looked at the new Aged Payable report > Aged Payables Detail - it doesn't show credit notes which been allocated to invoices. This is very confusing as we can't reconcile against the statement. Please review the report and add in credit notes, even if they have been allocated to the Invoices, or advise which report I need to use when reconciling the account.

  6. Under the GL Summary Report(new) and GL Detailed Report (new), i notice they run by account code in alphabetical order as a result of which some Balance Sheet and P/L items are mixed together.

    How can i run both the above reports in a way whereby all the Balance Sheet items are on top in alphabetical order follow by all the P/L items thereafter in alphabetical order

    Can anyone help

  7. Need a way to format the 'xero standard report and then have that formatting flow through to all of the common formats. It takes WAY too long to create SO many custom reports and it is restricting on reporting. We should be able to format the way we want the P&L to always show and then have that flow through to all reports.

  10. Been trailing the new reports format and when setting up a custom group account layout for a Profit and Loss report we can't use this layout across Common Formats of Profit and Loss. This feature was available in the old reports that once a custom layout was created it worked on all formats. Been advised that would need to create a separate custom report for every Common Format

  12. It would be nice to have the ability to add/remove the arrows from Variance Reports. Some clients don't like them and only want to see the dollar value.

  14. Xero Reporting - Please add functionality to Right Align text in custom tables in notes.

    Also, Lots of white space on Depreciaiton schedules making text very small. Add functionality to drag column lines much like excel.

  16. Currently the Account Transactions Report calculates Debits minus Credits which means a positive Running Balance shows in brackets and a negative Running Balance shows without brackets. This is totally contradictory to the usual accepted Accounting Rules. Can this be changed so that the Running Balance is calculated as CREDITS MINUS DEBITS please ?

    - (same goes to account transaction report )
    Once generated report, pls Enable view and filter, sort the transaction by clicking specific column, enable filter in every each column drop down instead of allowing only one box to search for different categories.]

    • pls enable receipt list as well in sales platform (enable filter feature for every column) It's such a hassle for me to click in every bank to view transaction. Spend money too!

  19. Currently, Xero offers an excellent feature enabling us to view notes and actions related to invoices and transactions. However, I think it would be highly beneficial if we could also access a detailed history of changes made to reports, such as budget manager reports and GST. Recently, I've encountered instances where my final GST reports were inexplicably reverted back to draft status. This unexpected behavior has resulted in confusion and inefficiencies within our financial management process. Regrettably, I have been unable to identify the responsible party behind these changes, leaving me puzzled and concerned about the security of our data.

  20. Can there be a date period added to calculate the averages on this report?
    We do not find "The average in the account is calculated based on all transaction lines in the account for the life of the organisation" to be of use unfortunately.
