  1. We have created contact groups (Accountants Names) and have allocated all of our contacts to their accountant. We want to print a list of the overdue debtor amounts for each accountant so we can follow them up but there is no report that does this.

  2. Add tax depreciation schedules in report packs.
    Currently, only have the option of accounting depreciation but can't change it to tax depreciation.

    Hi community, thanks for contributing your support and interest for adding Tax Depreciation Schedules to report packs. With a recent update we've made it possible for Partners to include Tax Depreciation schedule as a report in Report templates.

    You'll find the Depreciation Schedule, Disposal Schedule, Pooling Summary and Pooling detail all options when adding reports to a template from your practice. 🙂

  3. Balance Sheet Report Title is always "CASH BASIS"

    At the top left of the report it always says "Balance Sheet - Cash Basis" even when you choose Accrual. And when the file is downloaded, it always says Cash even if the report is Accrual. Note that in the actual report, it DOES indicate correctly whether it is accrual or cash.

  4. The new Account Transaction report doesn't show the reference from Transfers which the old report did. There is a reference column in the new reports but it is blank for transfers - can it be updated to show this?

    Hi everyone, returning to the idea here we're going to move this to delivered. When using Transfer and you've included a reference this'll appear when running the Account Transactions report in Xero. Check out our earlier status update for an image of what this looks like. 

  5. It would be great if when you download a report into PDF that the headings for each column are on each page like the sticky headings. If you have a multiple page report and you only get the headers on the first page you have to keep scrolling back to the top to remember which column is which.

    Hi Ann, as you may have found with Xero's new reports, now when you export a report to PDF if you have multiple pages column headers will be shown at the top of each page. 

    Sorry it's taken a little to round back on this here and thanks for sharing your idea in community here. 

  6. It would be great to be able to add custom reports, such as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet, to the Tax and reporting tab on the Dashboard

    Hi team, this is available through the Payable Invoice Detail or Summary reports at present which can be filtered for a specific supplier. Alternatively, you could run the Supplier Invoice Bills Activity report (found in the Contact Transactions Summary)

  9. Please add an option to change the default column order in a financial report for a user. This would save quite a bit of time when building long run trend graphs etc

    Hi Les, this is possible through the use of Custom reports. Once you change the format of the report, Save as custom where you'll also find you have the option to make this the default. 

    It will need to be set up for each financial report you'd like to implement this across, but once done can be an easy select each time it's used by yourself or another in the org. 

  10. The ability to analyse year on year customer revenue by selecting your time frame and comparing across a number of selected years (this is what I would like) or by month / year. Allows to have a quick snapshot on how each customer account is performing and address any obvious loss of custom / sales. A basic analysis report but a highly useful and informative one. The ability to compare in this way exists on Xero for profit and loss but not for customer accounts.

  11. To have a report for NET Sales for a month. Currently there is a report that only shows what's payable with VAT (not all sales are vatable) so, when trying to reconcile with the in-house ordering program it becomes a whole big xcel spreadsheet exercise...... takes to much time. the report also includes Prepayments which are not goods sold, but money transactions in advance

  12. Since the OLD reports are going i think there should be a way to reset the New Custom reports to default layouts as on one of our clients someone managed to break a report and without noticing we were using incorrect figures for some time

  13. It would be great to be able to enter custom comparative dates on the new reports.

    For example, say I want to run a 10 month P&L report for a client, the only "custom" comparative option is the previous 10 months. What I really want to be able to do (quickly, not by editing the report) is compare with the same 10 months from the previous year.

    Having a proper custom date entry field would enable this to be possible and surely assist in other comparative scenarios.

    Thanks for the image, Benjamin. This is possible atm, however when selecting your 'Compare with' you'll want to select 1 year, rather than the Custom date range. 

    This'll then give you a comparative period to the previous year based on the date range you've set in the report - I've attached an example I've created in the demo co.

    Hello everyone, we want to round back here and let you know, you can already achieve this idea by either using Payable Invoice Summary & Detail or Aged Payable Detail & Summary report, as we’ve mentioned earlier. From there, you’ll be able to summarise/group the report by Contact Group.

    That being said, we’ll update the status of this idea. Welcome to raise a new idea if you’re thinking about different functionalities.

  15. Include a report that allows you to roll up expenses on a per contact basis but only for certain accounts. We would love to see what our spend is on software and hosting costs by vendor.

  16. If you take $20 out of your own wallet and put it in your pocket, that's not "Cash Received," but the Xero Executive Summary report treats it that way.

    Transfers between cash accounts that you own (e.g. between two checking accounts) show as "Cash Received" and "Cash Spent" in the ExecSum report. This is clearly wrong.

    Please fix this. If you insist this is somehow a feature, please add an option to exclude internal transfers from the Cash section of the report.

    Putting it another way: the Cash Received and Cash Spent numbers should reflect what was actually received and…

  18. You've created these great packs or ability to create one, but for majority of businesses when they are reporting for the month that was in a meeting they want a bank reconciliation or a transactions listing with opening bank balance, transactions and closing bank balances!
    Can we please have this as an option to add into the Report Packs.

    Hi everyone - We've just released an update to Account Transactions report and added a Contact field! 


    Next time you open this report you should see 'Contact' as an option in Columns, Grouping/Summarising and Filtering - See an example below and enjoy making use of this new field and adding another level of insights to your reporting in Xero 🙂 

  20. URGENT- when editing Adviser year reports there are highlighted areas that we could select & un-highlight in the past. This ability was removed during the recent reports upgrade (only Bold, Underline & Italic remain). This means highlighted areas have to be completely re-typed as un-highlighted text & then the original text deleted - wasting a lot of time on re-creating information already available.
