  1. Ability to change Fonts in reports. Each firm is unique, and have ways to express themselves. We have always used a particular font for all our correspondance.
    The XERO reports look the same for every firm. Adding the options for fonts, size, colour will allow firms to be slightly different.

  2. Knowing that FX disclosures were expanded to several reports. However, it is awkward when the Adviser report comprises of Statement of Financial Position, Statement of Comprehensive Income, Statement of Changes in Equity, Statements of Cash Flows and Notes to the Financial Statements, only the first two reports are able to be presented in other currency (Eg. SOFP & SOCI presented in USD but SOCE, SOCF and Notes in MYR). Can Xero enable the function of FX in every page of the adviser's report? Thank you.

  3. It is not currently possible to use Report Fields in a group heading in reports.

    We spend time setting up shareholder and director names in Report Fields but they can only be used in text blocks, not group headings in reports. If we could use Report Fields in group headings we could make report templates, such as the schedule of shareholder current accounts, more dynamic and automatic. See the screenshot attached for an example.

  4. As payments are applied to invoices or bills, you can't see the description detail on a cash basis report (no problem with an accrual detailed general ledger though).

    The old general ledger (export function) enabled you to see the description on both accrual & cash.

    Seems illogical?!

  5. As an accountant I use a trial balance for every file I open.
    Can the trial balance be set as a standard report/ automatically added to favourites in the accounting option or each user be able to chose a standard group of favourite reports for all clients - Pain having to go into each new file i access and add to my favourites.

  8. Background: We are a chapter-based organization with almost 50 chapters. Each chapter is a 501(c)3 organization and uses Xero as its accounting software, meaning each one is treated as an individual organization in Xero.

    Every week, as the PM, I need to report on the health of each individual chapter. Currently, this process involves me manually switching into each organization's dashboard, checking if their bank is synced, identifying any unreconciled transactions, and recording the date of the oldest unreconciled transaction. This currently costs me ~1.5 hours per week.

  10. I understand the new journal report can add a column of "Posted by". it would be great if we can also add the "created by" and "edited by" in the report. We want to see a list of creator, editor and poster for each journal (with Journal details).

    i have the following suggestion. I think it would make sense to allow the production of a Dividend Voucher in Xero also by in-house accountants, rather than only by an accounting firm that is a Xero partner.

  13. When a report filter is selected, the filter should be displayed on the report that is displayed/printed. Eg if you use employee groups and you filter a payroll report by said group, the printed report should display the filter chosen

    Hi Esteon, you're right that it's not currently possible to Filter by the Related account column atm. It'd be good to understand what you;re trying to look at when running this report atm.

    Rather than filter by related account, could you select the Account that you'd be looking to filter by and then click the Related account header to order the transactions by the account they came from?

  15. allow quantities to be added direclty to the ledger and then to feed into reporting templates. manualy entered reporting data is fraught with danger and history is lost from year to year, which means we are replugging data every year...current "semi-automated" practice doesnt seem to fit with xero ethos

  17. I would like to see the ability to customise the Fixed Asset Schedule. Currently it defaults to alphabetical order. In order for us to display the Fixed Asset types in a more logical order we need to name the fixed assets 1- Land, 2 - Buildings etc. We cannot add page breaks either which would be appreciated. We should be able to Edit the layout as we can with the other reports.

  18. We need a report that will give us a list of lapsed customers. We as a small business need to be in touch with customers who haven't had any transactions with us for 6 months or a year. It would be great to have a feature or report where we can easily find these customers. On our old accounting system, all of our customers had a " last invoice date" column so we could easily pull a report for any of these customers who hadn't been invoiced for 6 months or more.

  19. When a report runs over a single page, the header formatting does not pull through to pages 2 forward. It pulls through the report name in small writing at the top of the page and leaves a large spacing at the top of page, as the attached screenshot shows.

    This product idea is to fix this bug so that either the report name header formatting pulls through to all pages within the report (preferable), or at least the empty space is removed.

  20. Include account code as a field on all Project Reports to filter/summarise/group by.

    Currently, all 'expenses' are clumped together under one project item type.

    To manage a project properly, it is important to see the costs for individual elements such as 'labour' 'materials' 'travel expenses' sub-contractor costs' etc (or however account codes are set for the business'

    In the Construction Industry especially we always refer to other projects when pricing up for similar ones, and in Xero there is no way to see this breakdown. This was possible in Sage
