This is well needed function that would save time and improve our accounting processes for us as a charity.

We're a small charity who are strongly considering moving to Xero post y/e, and were very much hoping to use the live bank feed, so would love to see this enabled, as it was a key draw for us.

Having CAF integration to Xero would be such a huge time saver!!

CAF Bank is our main banking provider, and being able to set up a bank feed would make my work so much easier!

This would be helpful please.
But not as important as being able to give users permissions to view specific accounts only.

Grateful to read that this is on Xero's agenda. We've just moved to Xero and it is frustrating that CAF Bank are unable to integrate which limits the functionality and usefulness to us of Xero. As a Charity with a small staff team we would ask Xero to push for its prompt integration. Thank you

Adding my voice to the importance of this issue for the two charities that I work for who both use CAF and Xero. It would save us a lot of time and make processes run much more smoothly

How far up the list of priorities is the bank feed between Xero & CAF Bank?

I understand that CAF Bank now have put in place the capabilities to feed through to Xero and we just need Xero to get the link sorted.

Echo the comments below, CAF are saying the ball is in your court. It really would make such a difference to have this facility. In practice charities often have a very limited choice of banking partners and CAF is sometimes the only feasible option. It would be great to feel that Xero were really getting behind the charity sector in this way.

Is there any update on this? nearly three months on... CAF says they have been ready. not keen on continuing the increase in xero fees, often for things i don't need or want, but other more important things are overlooked

CAF Bank said they have provided you with the API and just awaiting you to build this into Xero functionality. It would be great if this can be developed in the near future.

Hello, we are a small charity in Scotland, UK who would like to integrate Xero and CAF. We use Xero Dashboard to keep our trustees updated and currently have to manually add our CAF investment and manually make any changes to this balance. It's strange that Equals can be connected, but not CAF.

Please can this be prioritised as it will save small charities time and money, and improve governance.

We recently opened a Bank Account with CAF and are very keen on the Bank feed as we are used to having it with our old bank.
CAF have informed us that they are ready and that it is up to Xero to take necessary steps.
Please could this move up the agenda?

I asked CAF if / when Xero direct feeds would be possible.
The response I got was the following:

"On our former banking system, we were not compatible with the requirements for Xero. Understanding the demand and impact our customers were facing by not being able to have Xero as an open banking connection, when we updated our banking services in June 2025 we updated our services to meet the requirements of Xero.

When we migrated to the new system, we had contacted Xero to inform them of our changes. They have made the decision not to onboard with us at this time."

Please could you update us on whether progress with third party integrators is still in the works as CAF appears to be saying you as a company didn't want to support their direct feed integration, rather than you weren't able.

As you are aware, this is very frustrating for many of us and these charitable organisations are paying extra in our time to sort out their bookkeeping than other clients with the direct feed.

Hi Xero,
It’s quite a while since we heard back from you as to whether you’ll progress the bank feed with CAF. Our trustees are going to make a decision in the next three months about switching software packages, so it would be good to hear soon whether this auto bank feed will happen anytime soon or at all.

Having just switched banks to CAF it has been a surprise to learn that there is not an automatic bank feed already in place with Xero.
We have used Xero for many years and having an automatic bank feed has saved considerable time, so we can't stress enough how much one with CAF would be valued as a small charity.

We would really value an automatic feed. As a small charity we have so many jobs to do with few people and having to manually upload statements is just another task that needs to be done. It would making accounting so much more efficient and help us enormously.

Please onboard with CAF Bank in the UK. They have just changed all their systems and say they are set up if you would onboard :) this would make life so much easier for us small charities. Many thanks

It is vital to our accounting procedures that we have an automatic feed. Please do your best to see to this.

We have just changed our bank to CAF and I have tonight gone to add the automatic feed to Xero, only to find out I can’t. An automatic feed is critical to our organisation, and if this cannot be resolved asap, we will have no option but to transfer to another system provider.
