  1. It would be good if you could you could add an option where you can enter a batch of invoices from the same supplier without having to add each one separately and approving them, and then have to enter the supplier name each time.

    I use Zero mostly to run payments and upload them in the bank system. I am trying to make my work easier as currently Zero has very limited features and I have to do a lot of work manually. I need to be able to download payments files from Zero in CSV or XML format and then automatically upload them in bulk in our bank system.   3. At the moment Xero doesn't seem to have a provision wherein only active items can be downloaded from the Inventory List. I think this is an important and effective feature that needs to be implemented.

    Hi everyone, we've now introduced the ability to export your items list from the Products & Services page based on the filter you've applied. You can now export only your active items, or all items, making it easier to manage your inventory. 

    We're also working on adding an extra column for 'Status' in the CSV export along with 'Inventory type'. This will be coming in as a later release. We'll post an update in this thread when that's out as well  🙂

  4. When I add text to any of the boxes within a column in a purchase order, it moves the screen down because the box needs to expand to fit the text. This makes it really hard to copy-paste quickly. Please either remove the bug that makes the screen move down (boxes expanding) or add a "copy previous line" feature to eliminate this onerous task completely.

  5. It would be nice if the tax rates show separate on the bills when entering them to know it is calculating properly. I understand we can see the tax broken out after we click approve, but it would be handy to see it before. It would also be nice if we could manually adjust the tax amounts.

    Hi Bailey, currently when you enter a bill, if there's more than one tax rate, a different tax total is shown for each tax rate underneath the Subtotal.

    These totals are automatically updated live as you enter more lines on the bill - there's no need to save or approve the bill to see it.

    If you're experiencing different behavior I'd recommend raising this with our specialists at Xero Support who can get a closer look in to see what's going on.

  6. We have deposit and cash accounts with no bank feed, I would like to be able to reconcile a whole month's transactions in one go rather than each individual line (mark as reconciled).
    I know the balance at the end of the month is correct so I would like to be able to tick all transactions and 'mark as reconciled' in one hit.

    Hi team, this is already possible. However in order to bulk mark as reconciled you'll need to enable this option.

    When in a bank account in Xero, click the '?' icon at the top of the screen where you should see the option to turn on 'Enable Mark as Reconciled'. Its based on your user login so while this will turn it on for yourself, another user in the organisation will need to follow these actions to for themself.

  7. Description:
    I would like to suggest the incorporation of a new functionality in Xero that allows users to save supplier statements within the system. This feature should not post any transactions to the chart of accounts but instead, save the supplier's name, balance, and date as a memo associated with the statement. This information should be viewable within the supplier's profile.

    Implementation:

  8. We use Products and Services for parts that we buy in as well as what we make and sell and it would be great to have the ability to attach documents just like with invoicing so that original quotes may be attached for future convenient reference.

  9. If you enter a duplicate supplier invoice via an email link into Xero bills, then Xero should advise/warn you that there is already an invoice in the system with the same reference/ amount. There should be the same warning that is given when a duplicate invoice is loaded into Xero bills manually.

    Hi team, pleased to share that duplicate detection has now been released and available to you all. Xero will compare the Contact, reference and amounts of bills and credit notes in your org to help identify possible duplicates. You can then go to the Review page to take action on any Unpaid bills (Draft or Awaiting Payment).

    While Paid bills will also be picked up, if you need to take any action or view bills you'll just want to return to the bills list to access these.

    Hi Kelly, you can add this information using an advanced branding theme and customising the template in MS Word.

    For example you could add a text box with these delivery instructions, add your logo and make any other changes you'd like, before saving the file and uploading it back into your branding theme in Xero.

    When creating purchase orders you'd then select this branding.

    Heya Kelly! The new PO experience is now out to all customers ☺️

    As requested you will be able to tab through fields of a row and if you leave the Qty. field blank and enter an amount in the Price. field the Qty. will automatically default to '1'.

When paying a supplier bill, there should be a back button to get back to the same supplier to continue paying more of that suppliers outstanding bills due for payment once a payment has been made. Currently once you have paid a single bill for a supplier, you have to go back to the bills page and search for another bill or search for the supplier again, it takes twice as long as it should and makes more room for error (our company like many others i would guess need to check each bill against the products we ordered with…

    Hi team, appreciate the interest and sharing your idea in the forums here. We recently released enhancements to the Bills quick view (eye icon) from the list of bills. You'll find you can now edit and make payments on bills from the quick view without having to leave your list of bills. Meaning you can jump from one bill to the next with ease!

    Hi Coleman, this is possible with the use of Tracking. You could set up one of your tracking categories as properties and list each of your properties as an option. Then when you're entering documents in Xero you can assign each line of your bills, invoices and other document types to the property it relates. 🙂

Please change the table view on the Business --> Purchase Orders (Purchase Order Overview) to be the same as the Invoice Overview, which expands to fill the width of the page, as the current Purchases Overview is truncated and you cannot see pertinent purchase order details; like the PO name as an example.

    Thanks again for your support and sharing the value of this change for you, team. I'm happy to confirm that our refreshed experience of the purchase orders list has now been rolled out and along with other benefits of the invoicing lists this has a responsive table that will stretch to the width of your screen/browser window. 😊

  15. I forward invoices to Bills via the email feature.
    I then batch process these at regular intervals.
    There could be 50 to 100 bills here.
    I have set default purchase contacts for all these contacts yet none of these drafts use that until I go into the bill for manual approval.
    This wastes a lot of time as I have to go through each bill 1 by 1.

    Allow me to bulk edit the accounts on Draft Bills and / or use the default account setting for that contact.

    This simple change would save me hours and I would get…

    Hi team, I know it's been sometime since this idea was initially raised but we wanted to return, as an update we made to the emails to bills flow should have resoled the underlying pain point initially raised here.

    Now, when you email bills to your organisation your organisation's defaults will automatically be applied. So for example as mentioned in this idea if you have saved defaults for the contact the bill is created for, these will automatically be applied to the created bill. 🙂 - You can read more on the default application on Xero Central.   16. When inputting a bill to pay, the default "due date" should be calculated automatically (per your settings / usual trading / 30days etc) - and then you amend this IF different.... having to always enter a due date is a pain

  17. Add another option on the SAVE button for Supplier Invoice entry (and Sales I guess but we don't use XERO for our Sales) to enable a previously entered invoice to be copied from and then SAVED as a RECURRING INVOICE. There have been many times I would love to have had this option.

    Hi team, just as a follow up to my last update - along with the ability to bulk void bills, it is now also possible to bulk void payslips. See my last update for more detail on this process 🙂

  19. Suggestion: enable the 'Columns' feature that is available in the customer activity list to more parts of Xero. I would like to be able to hide the 'Cost Price' column from Products & Services on the front-of-house system so it's not visible to customers when we are doing a price check.

    We've just made another update - so along with the option to select and apply what columns are shown on this page, you'll now find your selections are held as you navigate Xero and return to this view. 😊

  20. Currently if a duplicate Bill to Pay is entered this only highlights/flags as duplicate when you are first creating the Bill or are editing the bill at a later date. Once it has been approved, it no longer highlights/flags this as a potential duplicate.

    It would be great if Xero could flag that this could be a duplicate in 2 places:
    1) on the bills to pay screen, somewhere out to the side (like the attachments) or perhaps the whole row in a different colour to identify that there are 2 bills for the same supplier with the same invoice…

    Hi team, as TJ noticed our duplicate detection service has now been released to all users 😁

    From the Bills list you'll now see a banner if there are duplicate bills to review and you can also access this option from the 3 dot drop down menu in the top left of the bills list. We've shared a bit more info on how this all works on Xero central.

    Right now you'll be able to take action on Draft or Awaiting payment bills from the Action column, however to view or edit a bill you'll need to return to the list page to open this.

    We're looking at possible improvements so you can view and manage ills within this page, too.
