    We're interested to understand the interest in being able to add multiple emails to a clients record, for the purposes of setting these up for different purposes.

    It would be great to hear more detailed feedback from our partners on the particular purposes you'd want to set up emails for and how this would help you through Xero's practice tools. Thanks!

    Appreciate why you'd like to remove older data from your org after a long period, Steven. Generally we don't want to be touching our customers data, and this isn't something we have plans for implementing. However, we'll get a sense of the interest from others in this here, for our product teams to consider.

    Right now, if you'd like to remove older data there are a couple of options;

    • You could start a new organisation from the date you'd like to keep records from, setting up the organisation with conversion balances from that date. You could also export and import information from the old org to the new one.
    • Change the conversion balances in your existing org and remove older data prior to this date

    Asked Xero client managers this question at a recent face-to-face in Australia (Canberra post Xerocon briefing). Updated privacy legislation raises concerns with keeping employee and supplier personal data after 7 years - name, email, DOB, address, TFN, super details etc. The transactions aren't as important as the contact and employee files containing that information. Suggestions above don't assist as we'd need to export all the employees and suppliers, manually clean up and then import. Currently manually clearing employee details - not too bad as only 5-10 terminations a year and can list past employees by termination date. Suppliers is much harder to identify which ones haven't been active for 7 years. If we can get a report detailing last transaction date we'd be halfway to finding at least a manual solution. Either way there is a potentially significant privacy breach exposure for small and medium business and a very large compliance cost if this needs to be done manually. Xero needs to get onto this.

    Hi everyone, thank you for continuing to share your feedback on invoice subtotals.

    We know this is a feature many of you feel strongly about, and we genuinely appreciate the time you’ve taken to explain the impact on your workflows.

    While this idea has been closely considered by our product teams we want to be upfront that at this point we don't have any foreseeable plans for developing the ability to add subtotals in invoices.

    As previously shared current options that you may want to explore include;

    • adding a description only line for each section where you can reference and explain the subtotals for a section of lines (leaving the Qty & Price blank),
    • exporting the invoice as a PDF and editing it externally, or
    • exploring invoicing tools in the Xero App Store that offer more extensive services

    We know these aren’t ideal substitutes, but they may help bridge the…

    In the meantime, can you add to the global client preferences the ability to not have the currency columns as a default in reports then we generally can't even tell its a thing.

    Hi everyone, thank you for your feedback and I do want to apologise for any confusion my update's caused. You're correct in that the responsibility outlined in my response is relevant to the concessional contribution cap. Seeing your responses today, we now appreciate that the idea here is specifically around the maximum contribution base.

    I want to assure you this is something our product teams are paying close attention to and though we don't have any immediate plans we can share, we will consider this request as we continue to plan our roadmap - We encourage you to share any further details on your experiences related to managing the maximum contribution base as these will be helpful to the product team as they assess this feature.

    Hi everyone 🤚 thanks for the idea and support. I thought I'd pop in here to share that it can be possible to have your tracking options show in the Xero Me mobile app when approving timesheets. However to do this you'll need to choose the Total hours worked timesheet setting (instead of the Start & end hours option). Appreciate that this may not be suitable in all our customer's workflows, so we'll continue to monitor interest in this idea.
