Hi team, we appreciate the growing interest this idea's gaining and want you to know our product teams are very attuned to our customers desire for a bank feed for CAF bank.

We're continuing to work closely with our third party integrators to make more bank feeds available via open banking. A feed for CAF is high on our agenda, however we're reliant on third party integrators to support this integration in order for us to deliver this for you all.

I want to assure you we're pushing for it's integration, but we cannot commit or confirm a timeline for this work to be undertaken.

As soon as there's progress to share we'll happily provide further updates for you all.

Thanks for the feedback here, team. We don't have any plans for enabling the ability to return to a default / initial state of the homepage, for now we'll keep a watchful eye on the support in this idea, here.

However we have a somewhat related idea that our product teams do intend on exploring further around providing template or view options to help users with basic layouts that you may be interested in joining too.

Thanks for the feedback here team, understand how reflecting the order of the bank accounts from the bank accounts page would be useful for some users.

We'll continue to track interest in this here and let you know if there are any updates to the behaviour of ordering planned, however it's not in the pipeline at present.

In terms of showing new bank accounts - the first bank account you add is shown by default. As you add new bank accounts there is a banner that'll show to let you know new accounts are available and you can use the Edit homepage option to choose which widgets you'd like to have shown on your homepage.

Hi team, after further discussion with our product team we're going to open this idea back up and would like to better understand the wider interest for being able to add new bank accounts as a default to the Homepage.

As mentioned in our last update at present.

    • When you add your very first bank account to your Xero org, this automatically appears as a widget on your Homepage
    • After this, additional bank accounts you add prompt a banner so you're made aware there are new accounts, and you can Edit your Homepage to add each of them as a widget to your view and arrange where these sit on the page.

We'd be really keen to get further insights through your feedback here on why showing every bank account by default would be most useful to your business, as opposed to being able to Edit the homepage and add…

Hi everyone, thanks for raising this.

We know that when your HMRC connection expires, not being able to renew it directly from the dashboard can slow things down.

For now, the best way to reconnect is to head to Tax > VAT Return, then follow the prompts in settings to reconnect to HMRC.

I’ve moved this idea into Gaining Support so we can keep track of interest and share your feedback with our product team. It’s clear that having a simple “Renew” option on the VAT widget would make things easier, and your input helps us build a stronger case for it.

HI team, we appreciate the feedback you’ve shared on project reporting and understand how including account names and codes could help with visibility and reconciliation of project expenses and incomes.

This isn’t something we have roadmapped atm, but our product team appreciate the pain points shared and this may be something we dive into deeper in the long term.

We will let you know if there are any changes planned for this report, here.

The lack of ability to analyse project data by account code is a significant oversight by Xero, and hugely limits our ability to recommend the product.

It should be possible to allocate journals by project and tracking category to ensure accurate record keeping.

Hi community, in lieu of having a direct feature for this I wanted to highlight the option shared earlier on in this thread (Thanks Peter!) for those it may help.

As mentioned, currently you could enter a separate line on the invoice, with a negative amount for the retention value, and code this to a 'customer retentions' account in the Balance Sheet. You could also add a comment in the Description field, indicating the cumulative retention value.

The Account Transactions Report can then be used to manage the values being carried forward.

Being open, this isn't something we have planned for development at this time, however we'll continue to gather the interest here, and if there's any changes we'll let you know.

It is incredible cumbersome having to use workarounds for our construction clients.

This is vital to help reduce the risk of double billing / project managers thinking they've not invoiced.

Appreciate the feedback from everyone here, and hearing the value you'd find in being able to add a clients logo to reports and make them look more professional.

Being upfront, this isn't somethign we have plans for developing right now, but I can assure you your feedback is heard by our product teams and they are keeping a watchful eye on the idea.

We'll continue to get a sense of community support in this here, and if there are any updates I'll be sure to share with you all on this idea. Thanks

We've just brought a client over from FreeAgent where the timesheet reports they send to clients are nicely branded with their own logo. The custom report I've prepared for them doesn't look nearly as good with no logo.

Thanks for confirming, Andy - Really appreciate the screenshot. 🙂

I've checked in with our Payroll team where this detail is saved.
We appreciate wanting more options for gender when entering personal details, and in some regions such as AU & NZ this is optional.
Currently, in order to ensure successful payroll filings with HMRC in the UK, we need to match the schema they provide. That said, our team are reassessing how this fits in Xero so I'll shift this Idea to 'under review' and can share any updates that come.

This is one for Xero to put pressure on HMRC. If recording is for HMRC matching purposes, please specify this so that it is clearer for payroll admins and non-binary employees.
