Hi everyone, we appreciate all your feedback on how we could evolve roles for customers using Xero. As you can see through the ideas on the platform, there are a wide range of combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. As user roles impact all areas of the product, there are many considerations we must factor in when assessing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.
We’re beginning to conduct research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. Front footing this, the discovery of this work will be long winded and there will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.
We’d like to invite you, our community to be part of this research and discovery. This may involve interviews…An error occurred while saving the comment -

Hi everyone! It's been great to see the appetite from many of our community here, eager to get your hands on Pay now for statements. 😊
We wanted to pop back in to confirm that this form is now closed. If you were eligible for the early release, you'll be notified in Xero from 19 August when roll out commences.
Don't worry if you didn't quite make it into this first pool, we'll be widening the drop of this great new feature over the next few weeks.
I'll keep you looped in on further updates here.

Hey everyone, we thank you for the detailed feedback on improving how leave requests work for part-time employees in Australian payroll.
We understand the value of shifting the task of adjusting hours to employees, freeing up payroll administrators’ time for other priorities and we also appreciate the points raised around accuracy and compliance.
While we don’t have current plans to deliver exactly what’s been suggested here, our product team is continuing to focus on developing working patterns within AU Payroll. Based on what we’ve seen in other regions, this'll likely address many of the needs discussed here.
We’ll move this idea to Not in pipeline for now, but we’ll keep you posted on any updates that could help achieve what’s being asked.

The ability to change the company settings should be restricted. Currently it is available in the advisor and standard user settings. We should be able to turn user permissions on/off for this. As I discovered yesterday anyone with an advisor or standard user role can change the company bank details on an invoice, send the invoice and then put the old bank account back in. A major security issue here!
