Thanks for sharing and supporting the idea here, Community. We understand the needs and desire to set a default mileage rate for Xero expenses, however want to be upfront that this is not something we have plans for in the short term.
Our product team are staying close to the feedback, and will continue to review this idea, so if there's any changes planned we'll update you of this, here.

We appreciate wanting to see more rapid movement, everyone. Having done a lot of exploration into this area our team have a good handle on the needs to solve this, however we want to be honest that development will be some time away with the team currently focused on improving bills list views and updating add/edit bill pages. For the time being to keep you up to date we're going to move this idea back to Submitted until more active work takes place for this.
I can assure you this idea is the best place to be leaving feedback for this feature, and Xero Product Ideas as a whole is the best place to be sharing where you'd like to see change across Xero products. As a community team we're advocating on your behalf constantly to see where ideas can be worked on, and this site is where our product…

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to hear from us on this idea and apologies for not commenting sooner. I can assure you this has not gone unnoticed and internally there have been reviews and discussions for how batch payments can be improved. We have the appetite, but as with all developments this must be weighed up and considered against many other important changes needed in product.
We want to be upfront that developing the ability to include Credit notes in Batch payments has not been planned at this stage.
As some may have seen, we do have work going on around being able to include Credit Notes as part of the reconciliation process. We understand for many on this idea the timing of including credit notes when you’re creating the batch payments is crucial, however we hope that when delivered at least being able to reconcile these more efficiently…

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting the ability to assign files to the project itself. While this isn't something we have planned right now we'll keep tracking the interest through the idea here.
To highlight, though not currently available on the Project directly, it's possible to attach files to the individual transactions within a project e.g a Bill, Invoice, Spend money or Expense. i
Along with this, you may also find it useful to create folders within your Files library where you can collect all files related to a specific project for ease of reference.
Understand this isn't the ideal solution, but may help some for now 🙂

Hi community, some time passed since our last update in the thread here we do want to return and share - while our product teams explored possibilities for how we might represent Purchase Orders in Projects research has confirmed that there is underlying work needed to the platform Purchase Orders are built on before we can achieve any good outcomes of your needs here.
We have enthusiasm and a close eye remaining on the support for this, but want to be honest that this is not something that we’ll be able to focus our attentions on in the near future.
Once we have completed work first needed in the Purchase Orders space we can reassess how to integrate purchase Orders into Projects and will update you all of steps forward, here.Chris Gevaux supported this idea · -

Thanks for your feedback, Karen. 🙏
So others in the forum understanding what they're specifically adding their support for I've adjusted the title to reflect your first idea for filtering the Profit & Loss.
History of project activity is quite a different ask - we have an idea for recording history for all user activity that you may like to support and share in too. 🙂

An error occurred while saving the comment Chris Gevaux commentedIt shouldn't be so difficult to assign expenses to customers or projects, an expense or spend money item shouldn't need to be edited to add it to a customer or project.
Simplifying this process could be as simple as an extra column that can be enabled on the Account Transactions view and if a transaction isn't assigned to a project or expense then it can be simply clicked in the column and the customer or project selected.
Additionally Bank Rules should be able to include the option to assigned to customers or projects, if we have a client that charges parking at a specific merchant which we can pass the cost back to then the rule should allow this kind of assignment.
We use Airwallex for our employee expense management and we require most of these transactions be assigned to a project, this means we have over 200 transactions a month we have to manually edit to add the project or customer, it's a significant time burden and completely unnecessary.Chris Gevaux shared this idea ·
Additionally it'd be great to be able to manage Employee Share Plans and other capital raising directly through Xero and integrated with payroll where bonuses are paid or LTI schemes apply.
Something like Cake Equity https://www.cakeequity.com/ would be fantastic, if Xero isn't able to build this functionality directly then maybe a partnership or integrations with Cake Equity for Payroll?
