Hi team, appreciate not exactly what's being asked here but to confirm what's available at present.
In the Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss you can now show Account code through the More option. From here, use the layout editor to drag & drop accounts to the order you'd like.
Once set up deselect the option to show Account code and your ordering will remain while the codes are not shown within the report.
You can also Save as custom so you can then access this layout anytime you need.
To go deeper with the insights for our team here, it's be good to know the specific reports you're wanting to see this feature in.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the votes and feedback on this idea! Our product teams have definitely taken note and understand the effort involved in automatic report generation and sending.
While it's something we see as valuable in the long run, it's not currently on our development roadmap with a specific timeframe. We're still keen to hear from those of you who would find this feature helpful, so please keep the conversation and votes coming. We'll be sure to update you if our plans change.

So far setting up the budget in Xero has taken me far far too long, i should have been able to complete this in a couple hours, rather than it taking me days to set up as I'm having to go load each department, then checking each, against the full company. We should be able to upload one file, with each account, and each tracking account, and then report on it. Please fix.
this was only raised TEN YEARS ago.

As a non practice accountant I would like to get access to reports that practice accounts use, and the ability to add any report.
