450 votesThanks for all your feedback here, everyone. The way you add description only lines in new invoicing is a little different to classic and we wanted to explain in hopes it'll help with how you're using new invoicing.
When entering a description only line, you can enter text in the description field of the line. If you add detail to any other field the line will be treated as a 'financial' line and you will need to include Qty, Unit price, Account and Tax rate.
When an inventory item is added this uses the item code field and the line is treated as 'financial', so it's not possible to use inventory items as description only lines in new invoicing atm.
We appreciate this is how many of you here have been making use of inventory and our product team are closely monitoring the feedback we're getting on this. Though we don't…Kim Murnaghan supported this idea ·

Hi community, thanks for getting involved here and letting us know the importance around being able to see the details whenever an invoice is sent from Xero. We understand the importance of this to our customers and our product team are beginning to review this idea to solve needs in this space. We'll move to Under review and I'll let you know as there's more progress here. Thanks

Hi team, appreciate wanting to hear news from us here and apologies we've not checked back in sooner. Our product team have done initial work to understand the work involved in enabling your customers to pay you through Customer Statements. This is a priority for them and we have plans to develop this capability, however they need to balance this work with other key priorities. While we'll leave the idea Under review for the time being, as soon as there's an update we'll share this all with you, here.

I've spent a few hours trying to get the Pay Now button on statements, such a basic function that I'm surprised it's not available.
After emailing Pin and searching Xero & the web for answers, this feed tells me it's not possible. This is a MUST HAVE.Kim Murnaghan supported this idea ·

This feature of attaching documents to an employee contact card ie contract, job description etc would be very useful

The rounding in Xero payroll is a nuisance, for 1c it's a pain & fiddly to fix up!
When Xero uses the public holidays on the payslip (I've now optioned this off) OR shows the sick/holiday pay hours it can round the $ up or down by 1cent. We have set up direct debits in the bank for wages each week so the bank vs wages do not match and differs from what the employee gets on the payslip. So until Xero can fix this anomaly one has to remember to change the sick/holiday line accordingly to match the direct debit.
