Hi community, first off thank you for contributing and detailing why posting manual journals in a foreign currency is of interest to you all.
We appreciate our customers would like to see more capability in accounting for and dealing in foreign currencies across Xero.
In it's current form Manual Journals are a part of Xero that require some upgrade to uplift technology in order to provide capability for ideas like this to be considered. We have intentions of bringing attention to this over the coming year, however getting this done first is necessary before we can even think about adding newer functionality like journaling in another currency to the mix.
To set the expectation here, there is no work planned over 2023 for this feature. We know it's of high interest and when we're in a place to reassess we will share with you here.

I cant believe I have found yet ANOTHER critical feature that has been hanging around for more than 10 years!!
the only changes Ive seen in the last 3 years are not functional and are more of a hinderance than an advance into greatnessMinnie Russnak

Hi all, upon revisiting here we'll re-open this idea.
As you may have found - While possible to add a new line and drag & drop this to where you'd like it to sit in a quote. Once saved, blank lines that have no data in any field will disappear and lines with detail will condense.
Apologies for the earlier misunderstanding and we appreciate those who've feedback on the idea here too.
There aren't any direct plans for changing this behaviour for now. We have a keen eye on the interest here so please add your support through votes and importance.
For the time being, if you'd like to add a blank line in your quote you'll need to enter a character in the description field of the line - This could just be a hyphen or full stop

they used to do this in CSV - but some dum dum has switched this export function off (but the button still exists) and now you cant export batch payments (especially useful for expenses) so Im now having to MANUALLY create batch files -
XERO confidence in this system.
just think of my life now - MANUALLY creating expense reports .... my soul is empty -

Hi community, we appreciate everyone's engagement here. To confirm we have intentions of developing the purchase order experience, however developing Projects into this does have some complexities and requires work across both purchase orders and projects to deliver.
Right now our initial focus is releasing the new purchase order experience to all users.
While we don't have a timeframe for assigning PO's to Projects at this stage, this is top of our product teams radar and we'll communicate here as soon as there's an update.

If I were a betting man I'd say you could get a man on mars before XERO will bring in any new functionality ....
this request has been knocking around for over TEN YEARS ...TEN YEARS ....
cant they hand their product development over to AI - Im sure ChatGPT could redesin this in a jiffy!
this has been a request since 2014!!!!! And based on ALL the other missing functionality items Im signed up to - you'll be waiting at LEAST 10 YEARS ... sadly it shows how unmotivated XERO is on making their product truly fantastic ... see the attachment - I think people have just given up on expecing any product development
think how much has been achieved in the world in the last 10 years and yet adding basic functionality eludes this company
