Thanks so much for taking the time to share this – especially your thoughts on the Cash in and Cash out view. ✨
We really appreciate the idea of simpler default data in widgets and having more control over how information is displayed (for example, being able to focus on a clean chart with the details only appearing on hover). Feedback like this is exactly what helps us understand how people actually use the homepage and what feels clear vs overwhelming.
While I can’t promise specific changes or timelines, your suggestion aligns with the kind of improvements we consider when we review and refine the homepage experience. I’ve passed this on to our product team so your comments can be included alongside similar feedback from other customers.
Thanks again for helping us make Xero better – ideas like yours are really valuable in shaping where we focus next.

Hi team, as we continue to closely monitor feedback about the new Homepage we really appreciate your input and feedback on the view of bank accounts here.
We understand how having a more compact view of all bank accounts to see the information you need at a glance would be useful and are picking this idea up to dig deeper. I'll be back to share any news around this with you all here. Thanks

Hi everyone, we appreciate and want to thank everyone for feedback on the responsiveness of the new Homepage. This has been shared back with our product teams as they continue to develop this experience.
At this stage, there are no plans to fix the number of columns when using the Homepage. However, our team will continue to monitor usage on this closely.
One recent change we’ve introduced is that the Homepage layout can be saved at each screen size.
For example, if you set up and save the Homepage layout for your laptop and then move to a larger monitor you’ll see this adapt. However, if you ‘edit’ the Homepage and save the layout separately from your monitor Xero will remember the layout for each screen size. You should only need to do this once for each screen you use.
We’re looking at enhancing the edit layout experience soon to…

I wanted to share some thoughts on the latest Xero homepage redesign after seeing a comment that really resonated with me about how much space the widgets are now taking up and how much more cluttered it is now. From a web design point of view, it’s just not intuitive, it’s cluttered and feels way too full, especially compared to the previous version where the widgets sat nicely in the centre and only took up maybe 50% of the page.
I genuinely believe the homepage experience could be dramatically improved with just a few changes:
Please limit it to a max of 2 or 3 widgets per row (see example attached), and ideally give us the option to manually resize each widget (Zoho does this really well and makes dashboards so much more flexible).
Thanks for considering this feedback. I am a Xero fan and have been using it for years and would never think of switching to other platforms so if this could help create a better experience for everyone that would be great.

Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate the feedback we've been receiving about the sizing of widgets and desire for more flexibility with these.
Our product teams are currently working on updates to allow resizing of more of the widgets on the Homepage.
There are considerations that weigh into what's possible' like what information sits within each widget.
The resizing will work in the same way as what has been provided with the Cash in and out, and Chart of accounts watch list widget.
I'll be sure to keep you updated here as new widget sizes are rolled out. Thanks

Hi everyone, we appreciate the attention this idea has been getting. It's really good to hear how we can continue to improve the Homepage for our differing customers needs. We understand not all the widgets maybe useful to every user, and the 'Customise' button will let you add or remove widgets to reduce what you see on the Homepage.
Taking on board feedback we're looking at the sizing of widgets and you'll find the 'Chart of Accounts' and 'Cash in and out' widgets are now smaller by default with an option to 'Make larger' - You can follow further updates for this on the idea here.
We have plans to dig deeper into possible 'view' options (like the different levels of views being asked here) in the new year and I'll share further updates here when this gets picked up. 🙂

Hi community, thank you for all the engagement and we can see the growing interest in improvements to help simplify your view of information on the new Homepage and navigate important information and insights with more ease.
Right now, our team have a few pieces of work underway intended to help with some of the pain points that have been raised here these include:
- More options for the sizing of widgets so you can reduce these frames and better position this information on your screen
- More customisation of information within a widget like being able to remove visuals
- Improving the experience of moving widgets when editing the homepage to make it more obvious when dragging and dropping them to different positions on the page
We’ve also roadmapped further changes for later this year, once everyone is on the new experience. I’ll share more updates as we progress.

Hey everyone 👋 Thanks so much for all the detailed feedback on applying work patterns for part-time employees. We’ve been following the conversation and understand that manually adjusting pay runs for pro-rata entitlements can be a real challenge. It’s clear that having this automated could save time and give you greater peace of mind.
I’m pleased to let you know our product team has reviewed this idea and we’re updating the status to ‘Accepted’. This means that while it’s not on our immediate roadmap, it’s something we see real value in and want to bring into Xero when we can prioritise the work.
In the meantime, the workarounds shared here, like manually adjusting hours in each pay run, remain the best approach. We really appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts, as your feedback plays a crucial role in shaping Xero. We’ll keep you updated on any developments…

90% of our staff are part-time. It's hard to keep track of everyone's hours in separate spreadsheets. Having this feature in Xero will make it much easier to manage and ensure the correct hours are paid each day.

I genuinely believe the homepage experience could be dramatically improved with just a few changes:
The new balance amount in the new bank rec widgets are way too big. It should be on the same line and the same size as “statement balance.” All these different font sizes just make it look messy and distracting. For Xero users, order and clarity really matter. (see attached my proposed change on this, it’s a simple tweak, but honestly, it makes a huge difference).
Thanks for considering this feedback. I am a Xero fan and have been using it for years and would never think of switching to other platforms so if this could help create a better experience for everyone that would be great.
